No prospect may be more intriguing in the 2024 class than Bhan Boum. The 6’8 prospect out of Lincoln has size, length, and elite athleticism. As a lefty, Boum has a high release on his jump shot, which allows him to stop and pull up over smaller defenders. He also has shown the capability to create his shot off the bounce. Defensively, Boum is a great shot blocker due to his size and length, but also has great timing and is a quick jumper off the ground. If he can continue to progress, the sky is the limit for Boum. Expect his recruitment to skyrocket here in the near future.
Will Cooper Will Cooper 6’6″ | SF Millard South | 2024 State NE of Millard South and ETG Midwest is another forward that adds to the depth of this 2024 class. Cooper is a physical 6’6 forward who stretches the defense due to his ability to shoot the ball from beyond the three point line. He stands out because of how hard he plays on both ends of the court, never taking a play off. Cooper does not back down from anyone, and is the type of guy coaches can always rely on to be in the right spot at the right time, and hit big shots with the game on the line. College coaches looking for a dynamic forward should check out Cooper.
Another forward prospect running with ETG Midwest this summer is Kevin Stubblefield Kevin Stubblefield 6’4″ | SF Omaha Westside | 2024 State NE of Omaha Westside. First thing’s first, Stubblefield is a winner. No matter which end of the floor he is on, Stubblefield always seems to make a winning play. He does a great job at finding the paint on offense, and is a willing passer to open teammates if the defense collapses. Stubblefield does not shy away from the contact around the rim either, and will go through defenders if necessary. Defensively, the 6’4 prospect out of Omaha is as reliable as they come. His versatility allows him to guard multiple positions, while he does a great job at securing rebounds and finishing defensive possessions. Scholarship level coaches should check out Stubblefield this summer.
Devin Holmon Devin Holmon 6’5″ | PF Omaha Central | 2024 State NE has turned a lot of heads with his play this Spring with Omaha Elite. The 6’5 combo forward is a long and hyper-active prospect on the wing. He has shown the ability to stretch the defense this spring with his much improved outside shot, but is most effective slashing and finishing around the rim. Holmon can also score with his back to the basket, and has does a nice job at getting to his right hand. His length on defense can cause problems as well. I expect a lot Holmon to garner a good amount of scholarship level attention this summer.
Dillon Claussen
Dillon Claussen
Dillon Claussen of Creighton Prep is one of the most skilled forwards in his class. At 6’8, Claussen is pure stretch 4 with a nice release from the outside. Around the rim, he has soft hands and great touch, showing the ability to finish with either hand. Claussen is great with his back to the basket, and can also score out facing up in the mid-post. Because of his size, he affects almost every shot at the rim, and makes the offense second guess coming into the paint. As more and more become familiar with Claussen, his hype will continue to grow. If he continues his stellar play this summer, there is no telling which college coaches will come calling his phone.
