Rich Rolf Rich Rolf 6'6" | PF Centerville | 2022 State OH (2022) Midwest Basketball Club 3SSB (Centerville)
Rolf is listed as a PF in some scouting services, but the more I see him play the more I realize he is looking more and more like a Wing at the college level. Continues to improve with his ball-handling on the wings. Runs the floor and gets to his spots and fills space. Understands defensive mechanics and movements. Versatile as a defender that can guard on perimeter and on block. Has picked up multiple offers from LM schools so far this Summer.
Romel Hightower Romel Hightower 6'5" | SF Toledo Start | 2023 State OH (2023) CCB (Cardinal Stritch)
Hightower is intriguing with his athleticism and size and had this on display Saturday. Good size at 6’5 that could play as a slashing 2G or SF. Great finisher around the rim. Soft touch when utilizing dribble drive. Good handle of the basketball on the wing and confident putting the ball on the floor. Bound for a breakout year with Cardinal Stritch.
Nekhi Villolovos Nekhi Villolovos 6'5" | SF Toledo Bowsher | 2023 OH (2023) CCB (Bowsher)
Villolovos was a brand-new name for me to view and man did he impress. Great size and could even transition into a PF if he continues to grow and develop. Long arms combined with bounce makes him an excellent rebounding threat and defensive problem. Rim protector that cleans up shots and alters shots with his presence. Contests midrange shots additionally. I’m excited to see what he does at Bowsher this Winter as he is an under-the-radar prospect out of NW Ohio.
Keisan Mills (2023) Emerge Elite (Jefferson Township)
Mills unfortunately didn’t get to show us what he’s capable of during the high school season due to his school electing not to play a season. What we learned this past weekend though was Jefferson Township would have had a lot to look forward to in Mills. The 6’5 wing has tremendous length and long arms that allow him to be a threat contesting shots at the rim. Shot blocker if on the block.
Jared Hart (2023) Ohio Hustle (Westerville Central)
Hart showed me the future is still bright at Westerville Central even after losing the amount of talent they did from last year’s State Runner-Up finish. The 6’3 SF has tremendous footwork on the block. Uses his feet to make fluid movements when backing down defenders. Plays bigger than he is with the footwork and athleticism. Good playing off-ball on the offensive end.
