OSA 15U 3SSB
Will Cooper Will Cooper 6'6" | SF Millard South | 2024 State NE
The Millard South forward was pivotal in the back and forth battle with the Arkansas Hawks. He rebounded with strength, and had to do it against some extremely strong and athletic opposing bigs. He shot lights out from three-point range, several of them in clutch situations to tie the game or take the lead. Ultimately, OSA fell short by one point in double overtime, but Cooper did about all he could to get the win.
Neal Mosser Neal Mosser 6'2" | SG Millard North | 2024 State NE
Mosser orchestrated so much of what OSA accomplished offensively on Saturday. His passing was exquisite, seeing his option before the ball even got to him. He is not the most imposing defender at the point of attack, but he was active with his help defense and timely stunts when he noticed the ball-handler unaware of his surroundings.
Rickey Loftin Rickey Loftin 6'0" | SG Westside | 2024 State NE
It turned out to be one of the best finishing games I have seen from Rickey this summer. Against the Arkansas Hawks, he attacked the basket and finished around and through size with conviction. His impact extended to the defensive end, too, where he was bothersome at the front of that full-court press and played solid man to man defense in the half court.
OSA 16U 3SSB
Pryce Sandfort Pryce Sandfort 6'7" | SF Waukee Northwest | 2023 State #123 Nation IA
Drake head coach Darian DeVries was pleased enough with Sandfort’s performance this summer, and this weekend to officially extend an offer to the small forward from Waukee, IA. Sandfort once again showed his impressive shotmaking and terrific defensive chops in a tough loss against K-Low Elite on Saturday. When he gets in the zone, he is virtually impossible to prevent from getting to his spots and rising up to hit jumpers.
Josiah Dotzler Josiah Dotzler 6'3" | CG Bellevue West | 2023 State #225 Nation NE
Sandfort’s teammate also received a Drake offer on Saturday afternoon, his second D1 offer. Dotzler came out splashing threes from the opening tip. He made three 3-pointers off the dribble in the first half, and controlled the tempo on offense. He is extremely hard to speed up because his handle is steady and he handles pressure and double teams calmly.
OSA 17U 3SSB
Kyle Ingwerson Kyle Ingwerson 6'6" | SF Papillion-LaVista | 2022 State NE
OSA found themselves down big in the first half. Their defense was getting overextended, and were easily beaten by skip passes for open threes. For the second day in a row, they made their adjustments and slowly chipped away at that lead. Ingwerson struggled shooting in the first half, but did not let that prevent him from firing more. As they started to fall, along with his teammates, the deficit shrunk gradually. With less than 2 seconds remaining in the game, OSA trailed by three, until Ingwerson hit one of the best shots of the weekend to tie it and send it to overtime. OSA came away with a 5-point victory in the extra period thanks to Ingwerson’s late-game heroics
Ingwerson passes up an open shot for a contested one, and misses. Wildcat Select gets the rebound but travels.
OSA gets the ball back with 1.5 seconds left with a chance to tie.
