The outside shooting of Johnny O’Keefe kept the Augusta Legends close with Georgia Stars Select. When his feet were set, O’Keefe burned the defense with his pinpoint accuracy from deep. He nailed five three-pointers and poured in a game-high 21 points. O’Keefe showed some offensive versatility by putting the ball on the floor and drawing contact when attacking the hoop.
2021 5-9 PG Adrian Hatcher – Augusta Legends E1D1 – Butler
Hatcher is a strongly built guard that likes to push tempo. He is a good rebounder for his size and routinely starts fast breaks. Hatcher is a dangerous three-point shooter. Adrian creates offense when getting downhill and distributing. He had 8 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
2021 5-9 G Katrayl Moseley – Augusta Legends E1D1 – Augusta Christian
Katrayl Moseley proved to be a spark plug on offense. He hit a pair of threes and then began to attack the rim. His ability to finish up close while giving up size was impressive. He collected 14 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists.
2021 6-3 W Fred McNair – Augusta Legends E1D1 – Jefferson County
The motor of Fred McNair was on full display as he posted 17 points and 16 rebounds. McNair has quality length and a good nose for the ball. He times his jumps well to secure rebounds. McNair earned multiple second chances opportunities. He was at his best when driving to the basket. McNair also stepped outside to shoot the three. He’s a hardworking swingman that plays bigger than his size.
2022 5-9 PG Omari Brown – Air Ballers Elite – Washington County
Omari Brown is a bundle of energy for ABE. He flies around the floor and helps ABE play at a breakneck pace when in transition. It felt like Brown was always involved in plays. Whether handling the ball or making the hockey assist, Brown positively impacted the game. He was a main facilitator vs. SBC, but still managed to get to the foul line to help ice a 60-54 win. Brown finished with 8 points, 4 assists and 2 steals.
2024 6-4 F Kamonte Durden – Air Ballers Elite – Washington County
One of the youngest players on the floor, Kamonte Durden doesn’t look like a rising sophomore. He’s got a good sturdy build and the mindset to battle inside. Durden played on the block and at the high post on offense. He’s more of a garbage guy on that end of the floor right now, but he provides major toughness on defense. He’s a capable rebounder and can help protect the rim. On offense, he made good reads when swinging the ball against the zone. Durden could be a valuable piece at the high school level in due time.
