Gill St. Bernards Nassir “Naas” Cunningham 6’7 ‘24 Cunningham had a day for himself offensively scoring the ball in a variety of ways. He made a living at the foul line and was able to create offense for himself and a nose for coming up with 2nd chance efforts. Cunningham also was active on the defensive end blocking shots, rebounding, and coming up with steals. Cunningham shags passes like their fly balls. He is a second away from making a highlight play when the ball is in his hands. He is still growing into his frame and will be even more versatile once he is done filling out. Kania has a magnetic touch inside the paint and uses his spin move at the right times. He’s effective as a screen and roller and constantly moves without the ball. Kania can convert from behind the arc and teams need to know that he can make an impact inside and out. He’s also able to put the ball on the deck and go coast to coast. Kania was able to get his hands on a few shots and came up with rebounds. He doesn’t try to forces things and stays within the game. Kania can also finish above the rim and is sneaky athletic. His best basketball is still ahead of him.   Nick Losada 6’1 ’23 Gill St. Bernard’s (NJ) Stocky and uses his blend of strength & size to go where he wants to on the floor. The lefty was able to convert from behind the arc. Losada was able to finish through contact near the rim. He shared the rock and got the ball to moving cutters. Defensively he kept his feet moving and sat in a stance.   Amir Lynn 6’0 ’21 Lynn filled up the stat sheet doing whatever was needed to stay involved in the game. He finished inside and converted from deep. Lynn was able to shag rebounds and get others the ball when they needed it. Lynn plays within himself and doesn’t try to force things into existence.   Elizabeth (NJ) [player_tooltip player_id="900321" first="Al-Fatir" last="Connor"] 6’0 ’21 Connor provided a great spark offensively showing that he was capable of converting from an extended range. He also showed that he could get downhill and draw fouls while attacking, which lead to free baskets at the line. Connor was able to read the passing lanes and turn defense to offense quickly. He showed that he could also guard multiple positions and held his own against bigger opponents. Connor showed his ability to be a point guard by getting his teammates the ball at the right place and time. He is making the most of the opportunity he is given.   Etienne Richelieu 6’4 ‘22 Richelieu is a budding wing who has a great blend of size and toughness. He was constantly crashing the glass which leads to a few second-chance points. His motor is one of the reasons why you cannot take him off the floor he always tries to have some type of impact on whatever situation is going on the floor. He can create chances for himself and moves very fluidly with the ball in his hands. Richelieu utilizes scoring off of backdoor cuts which is an elite tendency for a high school player to have. He has no problem defending and can guard 1-4. Even though he was not a big threat on the perimeter you still need to respect his ability from outside, he can score with bunches from behind the line.   Kareem Kelsey 6’1 ’22 Kelsey is a utility man who filled the stat sheet in many ways. He made tough passes and has a good vision of the floor. He used his runner in the lane when he attacked downhill. Kelsey also hit a few big threes late in the game to keep his team alive. He was active and assertive on both ends and found a way to collect steals. [player_tooltip player_id="1016639" first="Evan" last="Perez"] 5’11 ’21 Perez was able to absorb contact well when attacking to the rim, he also converted at the free-throw line. Perez’s ability to pressure the ball and be active on the defensive end, which makes him a vital piece to have on the floor. He is very affective in his role and doesn’t need to score the ball to have his presence seen. He is a willing passer who has a great eye for where his teammates are on the floor and is able to make tough passes with ease.
