Varnum lost to two of the best teams in Class 2A by single digits. They took Cashion and Dale down to the wire and played great basketball. Class B is absolutely loaded. There are five straight teams in the top ten that have only lost one game, these rankings could go a bunch of different ways. Lomega is now on a ten game win streak adding to the Class B talent. Battiest has also looked great and displayed loads of talent against better competition. Playing bigger schools has given Battiest more losses but it has also made them better. Class B is full of very talented teams and this class could go many different directions.
Class A Rankings:
- Hydro-Eakly
- Calumet
- Ft. Cobb
- Caddo
- Stuart
- Garber
- Arapaho-Butler
- Vanoss
- Canute
- Snyder
Hydro-Eakly has been dominant this year. After rising to the top spot in my rankings last week, they helped prove me right this week. They played three games against ranked teams, winning all three, two of them against a top ten opponent. Ft. Cobb suffered its only loss of the season in a hard fought game against Cyril, moving them to the three slot. Calumet moved up to #2 thanks to their undefeated record and huge win against Arapaho-Butler. Stuart is a team that not a lot of people are talking about but they deserve some respect. Stuart is 14-1 on the season and undefeated in their class. The rest of the top ten is pretty loaded, as not a single team has more than five losses. The worst record, Vanoss at 13-5, is still a very solid record and shows that Vanoss has played tough competition. While Hydro-Eakly still stands out, this class is up for grabs.
