The two-day event was won by the South team led by Auburn Commit Jabari Smith. In this article, PH presents its MVP and 1st and 2nd all-tournament team selections.
MVP: Jabari Smith 6’8 SF Sandy Creek (GA) (#1PHG) – It was close but I give the edge to Smith because of his impact on both sides of the ball. He led the South in scoring in the Championship game, but it was also his defense on Paolo Banchero Paolo Banchero 6'10" | PF O'Dea | 2021 State #3 Nation WA that helped his team to the victory.
1st Team
Nolan Hickman 6’2 PG Wasatch Academy (#1PHU) – Was best player on the floor at times. Shot it well and showed off an elite layup package.
Paolo Banchero Paolo Banchero 6'10" | PF O'Dea | 2021 State #3 Nation WA 6’9 PF O’Dea (#1PHW) – Just too big, too strong, too good throughout the weekend.
Chet Holmgren 7’0 C Minnehaha (#1PHM) (featured image) – Never seen a player of his size with that kind of skill-set.
Tyrone Washington Tyrone Washington 6'4" | PG AZ Compass Prep | 2021 State #33 Nation AZ 6’4 CG Compass Prep (#2PHA) – Loved his competitiveness and leadership. Could make an argument for him taking home MVP honors.
Damion Collins 6’9 PF Atlanta (#2PHT) – His activity, rebounding, and motor was amazing all weekend.
2nd Team
Trey Alexander 6’3 SG Heritage Hall (#1PHO) – Seemed like every time the South needed a big bucket he either hit a 3 or made a play for a teammate.
Kaden Perry Kaden Perry 6'10" | C Battle Ground | 2021 State #16 Nation WA 6’9 PF Battle Ground (#2PHW) – Dunks everything, and is one of the best shot blockers in the country.
Kobe Bufkin 6’4 CG Grand Rapids (#1PHM) – Smooth scorer with explosive athletic ability.
Pierre Brooks 6’5 SG Douglas (#2PHM) – Good shooter with a physical frame averaged over 20 pts per during the weekend.
Ahmad Bynum 6’3 SG Simeon (#4PHIL) – Wired to score, his 29 point performance in the 3rd place game was electrifying.
