We now move to the senior wings and bigs to watch.
Jamai Felt Jamai Felt 6'8" | C Randallstown | 2021 State MD | 6’8 | Randallstown
No prospect in Baltimore County witnessed their stock rise as quickly as Felt this summer. Playing for Team Choo, the 6-foot-8 southpaw caught plenty of eyes and programs quickly fell in love with his versatility and long term potential. Felt is an elite shot-blocking presence and a determined rebounder on the defensive end. He utilzes his length effectively and can even hold his own on switches for short possessions. On the offensive end Felt is trying to take the rim off any opportunity he gets. He’s a lob threat in rolls to the basket or when he runs the floor, but is also a capable scorer working on the block or in face-up scenarios. Look for Felt to be a walking double-double this winter. Bowie State, Chestnut Hill, Miles, SMU and Towson have all extended offers.
Ramon Villanueva Ramon Villanueva 6'5" | SF Sparrows Point | 2021 State MD | 6’4 | Sparrows Point
Villanueva is one of the most efficient players you’ll find in the county. He has good size at 6-foot-4 and continues to improve his athleticism to the point where he can finish above the rim in space. He’s a versatile option defensively and rebounds at a plus rate for a wing. Villanueva can light it up from three and mid-range. While he’s still developing a consistent game off the bounce, he showcases soft touch on floaters when he gets into the paint. Most importantly, his high basketball IQ is undeniable and comes into play on both ends of the floor.
Erron Stoute | 6’5 | Pikesville
Stoute is another Team Choo product who showed some flashes over the summer. He and point guard Evan Flaks will be expected to carry the load for Pikesville, but Stoute comes into play by bringing size and versatility to their frontcourt. Stoute does his damage moving without the ball and making himself available in the mid-range or painted area. He has ability to attack his defender with one or two dribbles and finish at the rim, but he isn’t a guy who will seek out isolations with regularity. He’ll be extremely valuable in transition where he can use his length to finish around the rim. The county lacks legitimate size in the frontcourt, so it wouldn’t shock me to see Stoute matched up against opposing fives for stretches.
TJ Moore | 6’9 | Perry Hall
Moore and Felt are the tallest prospects you’ll find in the Baltimore County Public School league. I haven’t seen Moore since last season, but what I took away most with him is the tools he possesses. He’s 6-foot-9, extremely long and has some explosion when he’s around the rim. He plays with a solid motor, but his overall skillset is still raw to say the least. Moore will be the go-to guy for Perry Hall this season and much of their offense will likely rely on getting him the ball inside. It will be interesting to see if he’s continued to grow comfortably into his frame.
Crevon Adams | 6’4 | Dulaney
Adams was a consistent rotational player for Dulaney last season after transferring from Perry Hall. While he certainly had his share of rough moments finding his role, I’d expect him to be settled in and capitalize as a senior. He’ll provide versatility on the wing as well as length. Adams plays well without the ball, which comes into play as Ryan Conway Ryan Conway 6'0" | PG Dulaney | 2021 State #111 Nation MD and Jaylin Webster Jaylin Webster 6'0" | CG Dulaney | 2021 State MD handle the majority of the playmaking responsibilities. Adams can finish above the rim in space, rebound at an expected rate and occasionally contest shots around the rim.
Jaylen Amoruso Jaylen Amoruso 6'4" | SF Dulaney | 2021 State MD | 6’3 | Dulaney
I’m convinced after watching Amoruso play for the last three years that he never gets tired. He’s the definition of an energy guy for the Lions. Sometimes it can get the best of him and lead him to foul trouble, but it’s also the catalyst behind him winning almost every 50/50 ball, rebounding out of his area and playing above the rim on both ends.
