Arthur Kaluma Arthur Kaluma 6'7" | PF Dream City Christian | 2021 State #38 Nation AZ – Dream City Christian
Arthur Kaluma Arthur Kaluma 6'7" | PF Dream City Christian | 2021 State #38 Nation AZ was the most dominate player in the paint at the whole event. Arthur has earned a spot as a top 40 nationally ranked player and I can see why. He scored at will over the weekend moving players in the paint and missing very few lay ups. Arthur has a good balance of skill and force, standing at 6’8 he can play the wing or power forward at a high level. He does everything you want out of a high major forward, scores with ease inside, is super athletic, plays hard on defense, and has a good jumper. Arthur was one of the best players I have gotten a chance to see and has a bright future.
Yaru Harvey- Southern California Academy
Yaru Harvey was a player who I had not heard of before this weekend but had a very impressive showing. Yaru was the lead guard for SCA most of the weekend, and he controlled the pace for his team very well. What impressed me the most about his game was his footwork and body control in the paint. Their were many instances were it looked like it was going to be a bad take or pass back out to a teammate, but he’d create space for a layup or fade away jumper with his elite footwork. Yaru also finished well when going downhill, he has a nice set of euro step moves he often goes to. Yaru has a few mid major offers as of right now, he could be a big steal for those schools!
Will McClendon Will McClendon 6'4" | SG Bishop Gorman | 2021 State #42 Nation NV – Bishop Gorman
Will McClendon Will McClendon 6'4" | SG Bishop Gorman | 2021 State #42 Nation NV showed off that he can do a bit of everything from the point guard position. The UCLA commit was the best point guard every time he walked on the floor. He has a knockdown jumper from three point range that hit a multitude of while contested. One of the most impressive parts of his game is that he controls the pace of the game with the ball in his hands. He is not a crazy athlete but uses his skill and IQ to have a huge effect on the game. Many guards had a hard guarding him due to his size at 6’4, 190 pounds, this allowed to shoot over smaller guards and bully them in the paint. I am very excited to keep track of this polished all around guard at Bishop Gorman and UCLA next year.
Collin Chandler Collin Chandler 6'5" | CG Farmington | 2022 State #28 Nation UT – JM Elite
Collin Chandler Collin Chandler 6'5" | CG Farmington | 2022 State #28 Nation UT was a player who blew up onto the scene this summer. The 2022 prospect has made a name for himself being one the top prospects coming out of Utah. Collin is a combo guard who dominates the game with his quick change in speed. He also is good with the ball in his hands he is a threat to hit three pointers and drives for layups or to find open teammates. Collin has great height for a college guard standing at 6’4, this allows him to shoot over smaller point guards. He has a nice set of step backs and crossovers to create space for his three point shot.
