This has been a great representation of some of the great young talent Minnesota has to offer. Be on the lookout for the rest of my coverage of this league over the next coming weeks!
Trenton Radloff 9th Grade 5’11 Buffalo High School
Trenton is a crafty player with good ball skills and a soft touch on his floater. He is great at selling his shot fakes and driving to get into the teeth of the defense. He is an aware player who plays intense on-ball defense and loves taking away passes in the passing lane. He is very skilled when he gets downhill and finishes coast to coast. He is a skilled scorer in the paint, he knows how to contort his body to avoid contact and finish over defenders. I was very impressed by his ability to knock down long shots from deep NBA three-point range, even at a young age.
Tyler Nduulu 9th Grade 5’10 Eden Prairie High School
Tyler is a defensive anchor who loves to create for others. He has active hands and feet that allow him to keep up with any guard or forwards that attempt to beat him off the dribble. He is dominant player who thrives in coming up with turnovers and creating easy opportunities for his team on the other end. I would like to see him continue to develop as an offensive weapon, especially with his set shot. If he can continue to develop with his ball handling ability as well, he will become a real force at the next level.
Ayden Forsgren 8th Grade 5’9 Century MS Lakeville
Ayden is an athletic combo guard/ wing with great potential, he is confident with a live dribble and loves attacking and breaking down his defender to create for others. His passes always seem to arrive right on time in his teammates shooting pocket, allowing them to quickly shoot. As skilled as he is as a passer, he is a confident shooter as well, knocking down shots off the bounce at a good clip. I would like to see him work on his finishing around the rim, especially with his off hand. He is a solid rebounder as well for his size.
Tyler Forrest 6th Grade 5’5 Chaska Middle School West
Tyler is a solid point guard with a great ability to shoot off the dribble, especially when pushing the fast break. He is a great initiator of offense and is skilled at setting up his teammates to be successful. He has good ball handling ability and a quick crossover that he uses to blow by defenders with ease. I would like to see him be more confident in the paint, as he has all the skills to get downhill and create for others and himself in the lane.
Kolby Thompson 6th Grade 5’6 Hidden Oaks- Prior Lake
Kolby is an impressive big with good passing ability, he is very aware of his teammates as they move without the basketball. He is great at finding cutters and open teammates after they come off screens. He is great at moving the ball around within the flow of the offense to find the best shot possible. I would like to see him assert himself more down low, especially with his size advantage, ball skills and awareness.
