Malonga’s development has been ridiculous over the last 3 years. He still has some occasional plays where he looks awkward or uncoordinated but don’t be surprised if Cyr ends up a big time Center in the near future. He’s long and athletic and plays with a bit of a mean streak.

Cyr is another long and athletic player whose best basketball is all ahead of him. Malonga has come a long way in the last 3 years and continues to impress with his improvement every time I’ve seen him. Headed to East Carolina for college, Cyr should be the best big in Louisville this season.

Malonga has the most long term potential of about anyone in the city but he’s still figuring out the game as he’s only been playing for a few years now. Cyr committed to East Carolina and will have a chance to average 15 and 10 every night out this season. His best basketball is all still ahead of him.

Like Potter, Cyr holds multiple D1 offers and could add more over the high school season if he doesn’t commit in the fall. Malonga is a pure 5 man who thrives in the dunker spot on offense and protecting the rim on defense.
