Jacob broke about every scoring record you can imagine at the All A this weekend en route to a runner up finish for the tournament. The state’s top un-committed Senior, Meyer scored approximately a billion points over the 4 game stretch and nearly capped off a comeback in the title game. He also scored his 3,000th career point on Sunday.
Highlights
Teagan was outscoring Evangel Christian by himself for a little while on Saturday in the Semifinals. He put up a valiant effort with 35 points and 9 rebounds but came up short. Moore also passed Owen County legend Carson Williams to become the school’s all time leading scorer on Saturday. In the semifinals, Moore had 27 points and 18 rebounds to beat Washington County.

Brian Griffith Brian Griffith 5’9″ | PG Owensboro Catholic | 2023 State KY led Catholic in scoring in their opening win of the tournament but it was Gray who led them in the 4 OT thriller against UHA that went deep into the evening. With 18 points and 8 rebounds in the win over the Blazers and 17 points combined against Holy Cross and Cumberland County, Parker had a good weekend.

While Cyr Malonga Cyr Malonga 6’10” | C Evangel Christian | 2023 State KY had a strong weekend and could be the top Senior performer for Evangel, I wanted to shine a light on Aaron Taylor. Taylor is by far the least heralded rotation player for the Eagles but he does a lot of things that contribute to their winning ways. Aaron is a blue collar type of player who will dive on a ball or set a screen if it means his team gets closer to securing the win.
