The High School Spotlight Series is back and we are excited to feature multiple teams throughout the state once again! The season is still a few months away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. For today's spotlight, we take a look at the Crown Point Bulldogs.

Quick Hitters

Went 25-2 last season.

Lost to Fishers in state finals.

Head Coach Clint Swan starts his 21st year as head coach. While they lost their top production from last season, veteran head coach Clint Swan brings back some intriguing talent that is ready to break out on its own, with their top guy being junior wing [player_tooltip player_id='2409540' first='MJ' last='Wilson Jr.'] The 6'5" prospect is coming off a very strong season that saw him break out in a big way, earning offers from schools such as Central Michigan and Northern Illinois. He is an athletic, skilled wing who is going to put up big numbers for the Bulldogs this season.

Potential Breakout Players: [player_tooltip player_id='2369889' first='Maddox' last='Teixeira'] / [player_tooltip player_id='2140433' first='Reid' last='Kaegi'] / [player_tooltip player_id='2882512' first='Cooper' last='Malaski']

It is crystal clear that [player_tooltip player_id='2409540' first='MJ' last='Wilson Jr.'] is going to be the guy for Crown Point this season, but there is still plenty of opportunity for guys to step up in a big way. It was hard to narrow it down to just one potential breakout player, so I went with three: [player_tooltip player_id='2369889' first='Maddox' last='Teixeira'], [player_tooltip player_id='2140433' first='Reid' last='Kaegi'], and [player_tooltip player_id='2882512' first='Cooper' last='Malaski']. All three guys will step into bigger roles this season and should see a jump in production. It will be very interesting to see who fully steps into that consistent secondary scoring role behind Wilson.

Other Key Roster Members

[player_tooltip player_id='2426898' first='Christian' last='Hughes']

Lucas Deeb

[player_tooltip player_id='3603891' first='Dylan' last='Finnerty']

Carson Bommsma

[player_tooltip player_id='2409538' first='Liam' last='Bazin']

Jake Gikas

Nate Drohosky

Ty Kennedy
