Court 1A - 3v3 Underclassmen Talent - THE EXPO SHOWCASE

The showcase format in Farmington gave underclassmen a chance to step outside their usual teams and prove how their games translated in a different setting. With unfamiliar teammates, limited time to adjust, and plenty of players competing for attention, making an impression required more than simply putting points on the board. We were looking for the younger players who competed, made smart decisions and found ways to influence possessions on both ends of the floor. These underclassmen didn't need long to give us a reason to keep watching. Boards and putbacks are Brody's specialty. He owns the area around the rim, consistently cleaning up missed shots and creating second-chance opportunities with his work on the glass. Defensively, he holds his own and uses his size to make things difficult inside. He's young, tall and plays hungry, giving him plenty of upside as his game continues to develop. This kid plays with an impressive basketball IQ, constantly reading what is developing around him. He recognizes flashes, anticipates passes and watches how the defense shifts before making his move. What stands out most is how calm and collected he remains while doing it, rarely looking rushed and allowing the game to come to him. As one of the tallest players on the floor, we were watching to see if Jordan could bring more to the game than the expected blocks and boards. He immediately put those questions to rest, stepping beyond the arc and knocking down shots with ease. His positional defense was just as impressive, using his size to close off the lane while still showing the mobility to stay in front of his matchup. That combination of size, shooting, and defensive awareness makes him much more than just a traditional post presence. Brady is an all-around player who is hard to pigeonhole into one spot on the floor. He was just as comfortable working in the paint as he was stepping out to keep the offense moving as a point guard, doing a little bit of everything to make his team better. Add in his effort on the defensive end, where he blocked shots and challenged players around the rim, and Brady showed the kind of versatility that allows him to impact the game wherever he is needed. As one of the younger players on the floor, Michael quickly caught our attention with his relentless, pesky defense. He never gives up on a possession and is often the first player to recover when the ball changes hands. His effort keeps him involved in the action, applies consistent pressure, and makes opposing players work for everything they get.
