Expert Analysis
Marcus Draney | Prep Hoops Scout
Brady is a 6’7” big from Bingham who can do it all in the paint. He rebounds, gets putbacks, finishes through contact, and can throw it down on people. His ability to score inside and protect the rim makes him a tough matchup for any team. I also loved how vocal he was on the court, something you want to see from a big. What stood out to me most was his calm demeanor at camp. He never got too high, stayed composed, and let his game do the talking. Brady caught my eye, and he’s definitely a big I’ll be watching.

Peterson is another surprise player who was shining in the EXPO. Peterson has good size, and he is more versatile than he has gotten credit for. Defensively, he is a player who has improved his mobility and lateral defensive slide to stay in front of players. When he was defending smaller guards, he was using his length to not fully commit to the perimeter jumper, and he gave himself enough space to not get beat off the dribble. When Peterson timed the drives, he was contesting shots, and at times he was blocking shots as well. When Peterson was in the post, he was holding his own against a few bigger kids, and he was protecting the paint well. On offense, he is a player who could be a quality shot maker. He can step outside and shoot beyond the arc. Peterson has a lot of upside if he can shoot the ball at a high percentage.

Brady is an all-around player who is hard to pigeonhole into one spot on the floor. He was just as comfortable working in the paint as he was stepping out to keep the offense moving as a point guard, doing a little bit of everything to make his team better. Add in his effort on the defensive end, where he blocked shots and challenged players around the rim, and Brady showed the kind of versatility that allows him to impact the game wherever he is needed.

Peterson has shown significant growth in his motor skills. His skill set has always been there, but his confidence has shot through the roof. He is attacking off of two feet and he is not forcing the action, he is seeing the floor and finding open cutters. When the floor is spaced well, he can do a lot of things, including getting to the rim. He could be a valuable asset for a Bingham team that plays high-intensity defense.

Peterson has a little bit of length and as a lead guard that can move over and play off the ball Peterson is coming along nicely. He shots it well enough and he can also get to the rim. Peterson is going to find a way to see the floor at the varsity level next season.
