He's more agile than he might appear, and he's a difficult player for defenders to slow down once he sets his mind on scoring. On the defensive end, he holds his ground well, using his size, strength, and length to make life difficult for opposing players. He also does a good job of contesting shots on a consistent basis and making his presence felt around the basket.

Phillip Reed Hr. just picked up an offer from UCLA, and I'm sure the 2029 bucket getter has plenty more on the way. He possesses impressive twitchiness and burst whenever he wants to attack the rack, and he has a knack for finding ways to finish around the basket. I was also a fan of how he set up his teammates for clean looks and pushed the ball in transition whenever the opportunity presented itself. On the defensive end, he utilizes his lateral quickness and active hands to be a real pest.

Rodney Washington really deserves some hype. From what I've seen, he's a two-way stud who can impact the game in a variety of ways. On offense, he attacks the cup with purpose and throws down powerful dunks. But defenders also have to respect him out on the perimeter, as he has a consistent 3 point shot in his bag. On the defensive end, he can jump into a passing lane in the blink of an eye and come away with a steal. He also gives his matchup all they can handle with his relentless energy and speed.

Payton Jones was splashing in triples at a high rate for Dynamic Prep at The Border League. Payton Jones was splashing in triples at a high rate for Dynamic Prep at The Border League. He's definitely someone defenders need to keep tabs on when he's left unmarked, but he also possesses good poise and the ability to knock down more difficult looks. Defensively he's a disruptive athlete who flies around the court and applies good ball pressure.

Evaluations are normally subscriber-only but when an athlete subscribes, theirs becomes free for all readers. Subscribing doesn't change who the Scout covers, it changes who gets to see it.
