On the defensive end, he can jump into a passing lane in the blink of an eye and come away with a steal. He also gives his matchup all they can handle with his relentless energy and speed.

Rhythm shooter comfortable catching in stride, relocating into open windows, and stepping into jumpers without disrupting the flow of the possession. Washington was always shot ready, keeping his feet and hands prepared to catch and fire when opportunities present themselves. He excelled at getting to his spots around the elbows, gliding into stop and pop jumpers or drawing contact on his way up for foul calls. He played with a feel for the game to recognize when it was time to hunt his shot and when to keep the ball moving. Washington is still a streaky from deep, but the proof of his development comes with the nasty mid-range game. There’s still a bit of rawness to his game, but given his athletic gifts and energy level expect him to continue to rise as a top national recruit.

It is well know how dominant Washington has been playing on the prep circuit. His recruiting has taken off with many high major and blue-blood college programs offering him this spring. Last summer at the NikeE15 level, the explosive guard was nearly unstoppable. One weekend of NikeE16 and it’s same story, with more offers this time around. The biggest question when it comes to the next level has been football or basketball for Washington? With the national offers starting to roll in for the McAlester Buffalo, it’s looking like the answer will be hoops.
