Prep Hoops Maryland Expo: Team 1 Notables

Constantly got into the paint or all the way to the rim and made things happen both as a scorer or distributor. He can make his presence felt from the mid-range stopping on a dime for pull ups and had some crafty finished around the cup as he absorbed contact on his way. Whether it was in transition or a half court setting, there were plenty of occasions where Saadipour made timely fades to the corner as others penetrated the paint/baseline or spaced the floor further as he feathered out to the wing on fast breaks to give the ball handler more space to attack. What he lacks in size he makes up for with quickness and aggression on the ball defensively. If he wasn't poking the ball away himself, he was a terror in the passing lanes as he caused a handful of deflections that led to easy buckets on the other end for his teammates. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Offensively, Wilson is a water bug who can maneuver his way to the paint and force the defense to collapse before locating open teammates. His 6-foot-3 frame with plus length allowed him to snag missed amongst bigger players in the paint and after finding point guards to lead the break, Glenn put his head down and sprinted the floor with purpose. Similar to Saddipour, Frempong set up shop in the corner or the wings and after cashing in on a triple, utilized shot fakes to get defenders off their feet and open driving lanes. He has an ultra aggressive trigger from three and doesn't need much time or space to get it off. His 6-foot-2 strong frame, improved athleticism and overall toughness made him the guy to defend the other team's most potent threat. No matter what position they were, Costley used his body and active hands to make life difficult from the point of attack defensively. On offense, he consistently beat guys off the dribble, finished through contact and made quick reads from the center of the paint to reward cutters or bigs along the baseline.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
