Skilled Scorers in Nevada’s 2029 Class

In this article, I feature five more prospects from the 2029 class who I believe will regularly turn heads with their ability to get buckets as sophomores. Based on what I saw this summer, he should have the ball in his hands quite a bit, and his teammates already know to look for him. He can score from all three levels and won't hesitate when he has a clean look. I also like how he pushes the pace when the opportunity presents itself and attacks the rim with real speed.     [player_tooltip player_id='2918920' first='Lorenzo' last='Wade'] is a crafty, high-IQ guard with next-level scoring instincts. He uses his feel for the game and anticipation to navigate defensive pressure, and he has a knack for getting his shot off even when there isn't much of a window. His crisp shooting stroke also allows him to convert a solid percentage of his attempts, and defenders would be wise not to give him too much space when he's operating on the perimeter     [player_tooltip player_id='2820420' first='Dorian' last='Virgil'] is a very entertaining prospect to watch, and there's a strong chance he raises his play this year. He is the type of player who refuses to be denied, and his vertical allows him to finish over defenders who try to challenge him at the rim. I also wouldn't be surprised if he caught a few bodies this season, as his wingspan gives him tremendous reach. Additionally, his aggressive approach helps him get to the free-throw line, where he can do even more damage     Sunrise Mountain CG [player_tooltip player_id='3243661' first='Jacob' last='Jackson'] could be a big-time producer for the Miners during his sophomore campaign. With the departure of a couple of their other guards ([player_tooltip player_id='2918902' first='Alyo' last='Hawkins Jr.'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2919441' first='Amari' last='Carroll']), he should see an uptick in playing time, and I expect his shot volume to increase as well. He is a true sharpshooter from long range, and I've watched him put together some impressive performances. Keep an eye on him in the coming months.     [player_tooltip player_id='3576680' first='Azari' last='Jefferson'] has a knack for scoring thanks to his motor, change-of-direction ability and touch. He finds cracks in the defense and makes opponents pay when they get out of position. While many of his buckets come around the rim, he can also step out and knock down jumpers. Defensively, he can be a ball hawk who causes turnovers and creates transition opportunities.
