Amari Carroll Amari Carroll 5'9" | PG/CG Sunrise Mountain | 2029 State NV also announced on Instagram that he is off to Mojave, leaving Sunrise Mountain as well. The Rattlers graduated a number of seniors this year, so there should be a good role for him. Especially considering his ability to splash in shots from the perimeter. While Mojave won’t be at Section 7 this year, we should get to see more of him at the Nevada Live Invitational. 

Amari Carroll Amari Carroll 5'9" | PG/CG Sunrise Mountain | 2029 State NV performed well in the games I watched. He was very quick on defense, coming up with deflections and steals, which stood out. On offense, he scored in a variety of ways and did a good job moving the ball to his teammates. It was a strong showing from him.

Amari Carroll Amari Carroll 5'9" | PG/CG Sunrise Mountain | 2029 State NV is a true perimeter threat with the way he can fill it up from beyond the arc. He will hunt shots all game long, and defenders constantly have to account for where he is on the court. He also has a quick release and sound mechanics, allowing him to heat up in a hurry when he starts to feel it. Carroll helps out on defense as well, coming up with steals every so often. Considering his elite shooting, he may make a few standout lists this summer. Next on his to-do list will be living in the weight room to become even stronger on defense.

Amari Carroll Amari Carroll 5'9" | PG/CG Sunrise Mountain | 2029 State NV poured in a pair of three-pointers in the first half and began to heat up again in the fourth quarter. He let it fly late, draining three more triples for Sunrise Mountain. Although their season came to an end, Carroll closed it out with an impressive shooting display from beyond the arc.

The 2029 combo guard is averaging 17.3 PPG and has dropped at least 20 points in 10 of the Mountaineers’ 22 games thus far. He has a textbook release and consistently gets his feet set, which helps him stay steady from shot to shot. He’ll also keep firing with no lack of confidence. In addition to his marksmanship, he’s a team player who contributes by playing hard on defense and hitting teammates when they have the better look.

Amari Carroll Amari Carroll 5'9" | PG/CG Sunrise Mountain | 2029 State NV climbs from #14 to #12 in the 2029 rankings. He has shown off his elite shooting all fall and is currently averaging 17.9 PPG for Sunrise Mountain at the varsity level. Carroll consistently finds open looks, and his reliable stroke allows him to knock down most of his attempts. If you haven’t seen him play yet, he’s entertaining, and he still has room to grow.

He was getting good, clean looks from 3 point land and connected on most of his attempts. I also liked the way he was getting his teammates involved. On the other end of the court, Carroll was being a pest.

Amari Carroll Amari Carroll 5'9" | PG/CG Sunrise Mountain | 2029 State NV can get it going from downtown and has the ability to drain multiple 3-pointers every game. He uses his IQ to get to his spots and from there he let’s it go with confidence. Carroll is also a hound on defense and can gather steals. All in all, there is a lot to like about how he plays and he is no doubt a prospect to keep an eye on.
