Fall League: 6 More Playmakers From Sunday

In this article, I feature another 6 standouts who caught my attention with their efforts, skill, and playmaking.

[player_tooltip player_id='2423332' first='Mekhi' last='Carter'] was making good reads on Sunday for the Longhorns He waited for the right moment to dish out assists, and his passes were precise. He also navigated traffic well on his drives, and converted a number of tough finishes. In addition to his notable play on offense, he was disruptive on the defensive end. If you're a college coach, keep a look out for him at The Border League.

[player_tooltip player_id='3271576' first='Keyotti' last='Evans'] was knocking down triples for Civica Academy in their matchup against Bishop Gorman. He certainly has a ton of confidence, and didn't hesitate to let it go when he was left uncovered. He also put his handles on display, and I was a fan of how he competed on defense too. While the Wolves didn't get the win, he did help keep it close. Especially early on.

Amari Caroll's shooting helped the Rattlers in their tight battle against the Longhorns. He knocked down several threes and dropped in a smooth floater. When he gets hot, he's a real problem for opposing defenses. Look for him to make an impact for Mojave this weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='3675497' first='Dallin' last='Jensen'] did what he does best on Sunday. He stretched the floor and made the defense pay whenever it gave him too much room. He's not the kind of shooter you can leave open, and he looks poised to be one of the Panthers' top scorers this year. Expect to hear about him much more.

[player_tooltip player_id='3558460' first='Fletcher' last='Gilbert'] is another guard who made some noise. One of his top highlights was a smooth pull-up three-pointer, where he showed the ability to decelerate on a dime and knock down the shot. He also connected on a couple of other shots from the outside and showed some wiggle when attacking the rim. It looks like Gilbert has expanded his game a bit this offseason, and that added versatility was on display.

[player_tooltip player_id='2318705' first='Greg' last='Ward'] (pictured) used his shiftiness to maneuver around defenders in Canyon Springs' matchup against Palo Verde. His elusiveness was evident, and defenders resorted to fouling him at times when they couldn't keep him from getting to the basket. He's not just a driver, either, as he has a reliable jump shot in his bag and can make defenses pay from the perimeter. Ward had a lot to do with Pioneers keeping this one close.
