The standouts from the third round of games that took place on the far courts of the Freshmen Showcase.

[player_tooltip player_id='2862271' first='Marshawn' last='Gray'] (6'3 of Eden Prairie) has totally won me over with his defense. Gray was pressuring guards full court and moving his length with them with his great lateral agility. This is a showcase open run style game and he is out here defending players with effort 94 feet. Really like everything we saw from him all around. Also had the best "come on little guard, pass the ball" face I have seen all day. This is a player with good potential and I really liked the effort he played with.

[player_tooltip player_id='3554243' first='Micah' last='Mcneal'] of Wayzata is another shooter that has had a really good day knocking down threes. Started session three with three triples for his team.

[player_tooltip player_id='3633819' first='Grayson' last='Trent'] is a 5'6 guard from Apple Valley that showed some serious range. The second three I saw him hit seemed like it was from the near side halfcourt circle. Then he did it again just before the halftime buzzer, and earlier in the game he put the fear of death into his defender with attacks so not only do they not step to Trent because of the range being so far, but because he's already beat the opposition off the dribble too.

The last thing you wanted to hear was Minnetonka having another good young guard but [player_tooltip player_id='2892259' first='Ray' last='Ray Dildy'] has played pertty well handling the basketball in this showcase. Loved his 0 to 60 attack and smooth finishes, and it wasn't just a highlight here and there, it was a constant throughout the game. Ray Ray was the player that teammates looked to when the possession started and when players got in trouble.

[player_tooltip player_id='2830527' first='Callan' last='Bain'] is a stronger, and active player at 6'3 that defended well. Bain moved well with guards laterally, he got to his help spots and was really good on the glass. As one of the bigger players on the floor, Callan also cut to the rim and finished deep paint chances with high percentages.

[player_tooltip player_id='2860953' first='Donyale' last='Johnson'] of Rochester Century is a player that also caught the eye. Was usually playing on the wing and when he had a chance to chance to catch and go to the cup he did with success. Good athlete, stands about 5'11 and is a player that could have a nice impact at Century as he matures.

[player_tooltip player_id='2848608' first='Carter' last='Neutz'] from Annandale stands 6'3 and was one of the more active players I saw today. Always rim running, always chasing the ball, always cutting. Good athlete that I could see being good in multiple sports.
