Like it, love it, or hate it, player movement is part of high school basketball. And rather than glorify or encourage transferring, it's still important to keep track of who is moving and where. So here's the first of two articles sharing information on transfers, from the end of the Spring semester to the start of the fall:

Caesar Rodney

[player_tooltip player_id='2375226' first='Kaisan' last='Bacon'] (5'11 G 2027) and [player_tooltip player_id='2375228' first='Ka'Ron' last='Bacon'] (6'2 G 2027)

Returning home to CR, the Bacon twins could be exactly what the Riders need under the new regime. Kaisan is a shifty score off the bounce and Ka'Ron is a shotmaker with range. They rejoin a cast of guards such as 2028 two-sport star [player_tooltip player_id='2619231' first='Denzel' last='Jones'], [player_tooltip player_id='2868048' first='Dontae' last='Baynard'], and [player_tooltip player_id='3687642' first='Semaj' last='Jackson']. So with Henlopen South up for grabs, the twins could tip the scale in CR's favor.

Caravel

[player_tooltip player_id='3675697' first='Ethan' last='Jackson'] | 5'10 G 2028

The Delaware native returns home after two years as a reserve at Roman Catholic and immediately moves the needle for the Buccaneers. His tenacity on defense, three-point shooting, and ball-handling have already added juice to Caravel's backcourt that features 2027 Rider-commit [player_tooltip player_id='2371045' first='Niquan' last='Lee Jr'] and 2028 floor leader [player_tooltip player_id='2935380' first='Prince' last='McKnight']. Jackson is also joined by fellow newcomer [player_tooltip player_id='2849654' first='Kaisan' last='Hale'], who was a key piece at A. I. DuPont.

Dover

[player_tooltip player_id='2606515' first='Lamier' last='Wright'] | 6'3 G/W 2028

Wright made a splash at Lake Forest as a freshman and built on that as a sophomore, in addition to being a standout defensive back on the football field. The physical run-and-jump athlete is a nightmare on defense, above the rim in transition, and when slashing in the halfcourt. He replenishes and adds depth, as well as experience, to a wing rotation that lost a ton to graduation. Furthermore, Wright reunites with former grassroots teammates [player_tooltip player_id='2519940' first='Joseph' last='Taylor'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2519961' first='Braylon' last='Williams'].

Odessa

[player_tooltip player_id='2364702' first='Tariq' last='Warner'] | 6'2 G 2027

Having moved to the MOT area, Warner made the transition to the Ducks program for his senior year. The three-level scoring punch he provides fits comfortably next to 2029 PG [player_tooltip player_id='2867778' first='Turk' last='Wilburn'] and Odessa's other guards. And his ability to create for himself enables him to get to the free throw line late in fourth quarters.

Red Lion

[player_tooltip player_id='2750850' first='Byron' last='Smith'] | 6'3 G/W 2028

Part of a sneaky Mount Pleasant squad last season, Smith – with his younger brother in tow – joins the Red & Black. The former Green Knight is a complementary guard/wing with an improving shot from distance. With RLCA's loss of veteran leadership to graduation and multi-sport student-athletes, Smith being a hooper – who can do a little of everything – will go a long way. Hem

[player_tooltip player_id='2869474' first='Daniel' last='Throop'] | 5'11 G 2029

Throop is the newest Lion, since making the shift from Aspira where he was a vital piece for the Wolves. At worst, he should immediately fill a void in the rotation as a facilitator. The poised sophomore guard can handle against pressure and play without the ball. If he is wired the right way, RLCA will be a problem for years to come.

Seaford

[player_tooltip player_id='2519939' first='Mike' last='Mullen'] | 5'11 G 2028

Flying south to be a Blue Jay, Mullen should move the needle for his new team after being battle-test at Milford for two seasons. He's a well-rounded playmaker who is happy to feed everyone else, but can also light up the scoreboard. And that's just what Seaford will need as they try to replace the vast majority of their production from a season ago. A hard worker, Mullen will gel nicely next to [player_tooltip player_id='2619227' first='Uriah' last='Taylor-Brown'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2609081' first='Samorian' last='Robinson'], as they come into their own.

St. Georges

[player_tooltip player_id='3431527' first='EJ' last='Anderson'] | 6'1 G 2029

A two-sport athlete coming over from Red Lion, Anderson is already making an impact on the football field. The toolsy defensive back makes plays with his instincts in coverage, which translates particularly well on the court. Anderson gets steals, blocks, and rebounds by recognizing things before they happen. So with the Hawks consisting of forwards and small guards, he should be able to help immensely on both ends of the floor.

Woodbridge

[player_tooltip player_id='2619599' first='Adrien' last='Keaton'] | 6'2 W 2028

An under the radar transfer for the Blue Raiders, Keaton's blue collar mentality should make him a welcomed addition. He plays bigger than listed, consistently defending and rebounding over taller players. Keaton also has the physicality to play through contact. Joining the likes of [player_tooltip player_id='3670818' first='Ivray' last='Sauls'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2629312' first='TaSean' last='Williams-Conway'] in the frontcourt, Keaton has the chance to make Woodbridge a tough out in Henlopen South.
