High School Spotlight: Brownsburg Bulldogs

The season is still a few months away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. He is 318-161 as a head coach.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>&nbsp;Very talented players that could once again surprise some people. </li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Top Players</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>For Brownsburg, we are going to do something a little different with this series. Below is a group of players that should lead them this season and a few scouting notes on each: </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='3693581' first='Chase' last='Wilson'] - The leading returning scorer from last season averaging 6.2 points per game a year ago. Coming off a real strong summer and recently was a standout at the Indiana Expo. Very explosive guard that takes great shots.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2141044' first='Brandon' last='Day'] - Has been a strong rotational piece for the Bulldogs over the years and could be in for a breakout season. Brings back 5.2 points and 2.3 rebounds per game last season. Strong, athletic wing that is tough to contain when he gets downhill to the rim. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2140379' first='Jackson' last='Gordon'] - One of the top rising big men in the in-state 2027 class and will be in for a much more improved role this upcoming season. Brings back 5.1 points and 2.3 rebounds per game last season. Soft touch around the paint and can space the floor out. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2879841' first='Billo' last='Diallo'] - Probably the prospect with most upside on this roster. Averaged only 2.8 points per game last season but will be one of their top scorers this upcoming season. A true mismatch on the wing with athleticism to take over a game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kolton Catchings - An under-the-radar junior that appeared in 22 games at the varsity level last year. A very quick and athletic guard that could be one of the top surprises on this team. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2907635' first='Bo' last='Washington'] - A transfer from Pike High School that will immediately be one of the premier guards on this team. A very dynamic guard that can push the pace at a high level and has an ability to take over a game at a moment's notice.
