Freshman Showcase Team 13 and Team 18 Evaluations

Morales throughout the winter showcased himself as a guard who could lead a team as a ball handler and feed multiple teammates with the necessary passes. In AAU play with [program_tooltip program_id='2075485' first='Gain' last='Elite'] Morales in a more fluid environment showed he could shoot the ball from the perimeter while also playing at faster pace while still moving the ball around the floor. In 3v3 at the Freshman Showcase Morales was hitting shots spotted up, off the dribble in the mid-range and from beyond the arc, and looked quick and smooth with the ball.    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-x wp-block-embed-x"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/streethistory/status/2101508506897539232 </div></figure>    [player_tooltip player_id='2398304' first='Blaine' last='Sorenson'] is a five-foot-nine-inch 2030 Stewartville guard that played [program_tooltip program_id='2075702' first='MN' last='Lightning'] AAU last spring and summer. The lefty Tigers guard plays the game aggressively and quick, on offense and defense. Sorenson made plays on the ball multiple times going for blocks. When the ball was in his hands Sorenson was decisive and showed good vision moving the ball all over the court. Sorenson displays floater ability and perimeter shooting ability.     [player_tooltip player_id='3581612' first='Rajon' last='Totten'] is a five-foot-nine-inch 2030 Farmington guard that in June showed ability to shoot the ball from the perimeter. In the 5v5 contest he showed that ability again making a 3-pointer very smoothly and looked very comfortable walking into his shot opportunity.     [player_tooltip player_id='2418155' first='Cooper' last='Burslie'] is a five-foot-eleven-inch 2030 guard from Annandale and played Hoop Habits last spring and summer and will be with the [program_tooltip program_id='2888391' first='Minnesota' last='Comets'] next spring/summer. Burslie looked comfortable and capable running the point position and a solid ball handler. Burslie looks to have the ability to shoot from the perimeter and make quick decisions with the ball.     [player_tooltip player_id='3219659' first='Deshaun' last='Johnson'] is a five-foot-ten-inch Eagan and [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] guard that blocked a ball handler going to the rim one play making a nice play on the ball. On another possession Johnson grabbed a rebound and made an ahead pass hitting streaking teammate for a lay-up.     [player_tooltip player_id='2860146' first='Maison' last='Craven'] is a five-foot-seven-inch 2030 guard from Columbia Heights and 94 Feet of Game appeared crafty as a ball handler with an unorthodox dribble with some nice below the rim finishing.     [player_tooltip player_id='3720497' first='Jack' last='Plahn'] is a six-foot-two-inch 2030 Watertown Mayer and [program_tooltip program_id='2075709' first='MN' last='Swish'] forward that made the most of playing with guards who passed the ball to their front-court teammates. Plahn made a few close range lay-ups of drop-offs and quick dishes.     [player_tooltip player_id='2524088' first='Max' last='Gardner'] is a five-foot-ten-inch 2030 Apple Valley and [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota'] 3SSB guard. Gardner is a quick ball handler and displays some good ball skills. At the Freshman Showcase Gardner hit a relatively deep 3-pointer without pushing too much forward.      [player_tooltip player_id='2845061' first='Jonathan' last='Berry II'] is a six-foot-one-inch 2030 wing that played with MN Falcons/Phelps this spring and summer and was just super active in his 5v5 game I watched. Berry scored a number of times at the rim where he was just too quick, and jumped higher than his opponents. Berry's second jump quickness and ability to move laterally in tight spaces make him an impact type of player.
