We're holding off on officially ranking the Class of 2030 for now, giving these young players the chance to make their mark during their freshman seasons. From what we saw this summer, there's already plenty of reason to pay attention to this class. Several of these names showed enough talent, versatility and upside that we could see them making a varsity impact over the next couple of seasons. Now it's time to see who carries that summer momentum into the season, earns meaningful minutes and starts making an even bigger name for themselves.

Donelson is a name we're keeping close tabs on because there's a lot to like about where his game can go. He brings a competitive edge on the defensive end and has the instincts to stay in front, make plays and create problems without needing everything run through him. That willingness to do the dirty work gives him a foundation to build on. As his offensive game continues to come along and his confidence grows, there's a chance for his overall game to really open up. He has the tools and mentality to become a player worth watching closely over the next few seasons

Vinyard is a player who has been on our radar for a while, dating back to what we saw from him a during multiple games over the summer. There's a lot to work with here and we think there's another level he can reach as his game continues to develop. He has a nice offensive feel, can knock down shots when the opportunity is there, and doesn't force things just to get his own. We really liked his willingness to make the extra pass and find teammates, especially when others were more focused on getting their own shot. He also brings plenty of energy, competes for rebounds and stays involved from possession to possession. Tyson Mccormick

State: Colorado

Mccormick is a name we're paying close attention to because there's a real chance he develops into one of the more notable players in this class. He plays with an attacking mindset, gets downhill with purpose and isn't shy about taking contact to finish plays. What makes him especially intriguing is the jumper he brings with it. If defenders back up he can make them pay, and if they step up he has the burst to get by them. He also competes defensively and makes his matchup work. Fuentez is the type of big we want to keep an eye on because he brings something you can't teach in toughness. He's comfortable doing the work inside, battling for position, playing through contact and making himself a factor around the basket. Even when the ball does not come his way he stays locked in and continues finding ways to help his team. He protects the paint, defends without constantly reaching and makes his presence felt on both ends.
