Donelson showed flashes defensively at the showcase, doing a solid job staying connected to his assignment and working to keep the ball in front. He was active from the perimeter and showed an understanding of where he needed to be within the team defensive structure. While his offensive role was more limited, he found ways to contribute without needing the ball in his hands. His willingness to defend and stay engaged on that end gave him opportunities to impact possessions even when he wasn’t involved offensively
