Team 2 brought a blend of perimeter shooting, physical play, and two-way activity to the Prep Hoops Alabama Expo. [player_tooltip player_id='2892402' first='Cameron' last='Walton'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2194893' first='Demar' last='Hinton'] applied pressure with their strength and ability to create offense, and [player_tooltip player_id='3736240' first='Grant' last='Nickelson'] and Christian A. Mixon contributed shooting, toughness, and effort that supported the group. Featuring prospects from the 2027, 2028, and 2030 classes, this collection offered plenty to evaluate beyond the scoring column. Here is a closer look at each player's showing and the next steps in his development...

Kye showed a good feel for using the threat of his jumper to create more than a perimeter attempt. He knocked down open looks and threes, then used shot fakes to open driving lanes and get to his midrange floater. He was also willing to make the extra pass once he entered the lane, which kept his scoring threat connected to opportunities for teammates. A transition assist added another example of that unselfish approach. His offensive value comes from making defenders honor the shot and then choosing the right response. Continuing to strengthen those reads against quicker closeouts will help his game keep growing.

Bentlee showed shooting value with range that deserves attention. He is really good at scoring from behind the arc, finishing at the cup, and competing on the defensive end of the floor. His game is worth tracking as the skill package develops. The next layer is expanding the reads that follow a hard closeout so his shooting threat can consistently lead to a controlled drive or a timely pass.

Cash is a combo guard with positional height and a jumper that can stretch a defense. He doesnt just settle for the three as he also attacks off the bounce, showed strong footwork, and gave his squad more substance than standstill shooting alone. Playing under control is an encouraging trait at this stage. Active hands and a blocked shot added defensive involvement. As he develops, continuing to use the threat of his shot to create efficient paint touches and passing opportunities will help round out his floor game.

Garrett is a long, athletic wing whose tools showed up at both ends. He scored on face-up jumpers in the mid-post and used his athleticism to finish around the basket and in transition. His three-ball is streaky, so the next step is making that part of his package more dependable. There is an intriguing foundation with Garrett as he has ways to score inside the arc while contributing defensively. Continued shooting development and more consistent decisions on the catch will help turn his tools into a clearer, repeatable part of his game he can rely on bringing every night.

Cameron delivered one of the strongest impressions throughout the day, as he made a case for one of the best prospects in camp. He was a physical, high-motor wing who consistently scored at all three levels and used his strength to overpower smaller guards. His wingspan and athleticism supported an active defensive presence on and off the ball, and he rebounded on both ends. That is a substantial two-way profile because his impact was not tied solely to shot-making. As the matchups become stronger, the next layer is sustaining that same control and production against players who can better absorb his physicality.

Demar brought strength, a useful handle, and a willingness to play in the paint. His physicality created problems for opposing guards, but he also showed a feel for involving teammates and making the right reads in ball-screen offense. That combination gave his attacks purpose beyond simply trying to overpower a matchup. He was committed defensively, getting into a stance, and remaining active away from the ball, while rebounding and communication added to his impact. The next step is continuing to connect that interior pressure with timely distribution and consistent shot selection as defenses adjust to his strengths.

Grant showed shooting-guard value with his trey-ball, a strong athletic build, and a willingness to compete with toughness. His decision-making and shot selection, are useful traits. He did not need a complicated role to make a positive impression: as he took good opportunities and competes through possessions. Continuing to develop his response to aggressive closeouts would give him another way to build on his shooting.

Christian brought a high motor and a willingness to do work that supports the entire group. He rebounded on both ends, provided help-side defense, and knocked down catch-and-shoot threes. He showed he can be depended on without requiring the offense to be built around his touches. His activity helped finish defensive possessions and offensively create extra chances. Continuing to make the shot dependable and sharpen the timing of his help and recovery will strengthen a role built on effort, awareness, and complementary offense.
