Our 2027 national rankings update just went live! Uvwo covers so much ground defensively and his combination of timing and ability to contest and block shots without fouling is elite. If Uvwo can show some offensive development this winter with Prolific Prep, he will likely enter college high on 2028 mock drafts with the expectation to be a one and done level prospect.

Henry has been a fascinating player to watch develop over the years as I got to see him before he even played a high school game in Ohio. Seeing Henry turn into a five star level prospect who is ranked in the top 5 of other national rankings sites has been unbelievable to watch. Henry has become much tougher over the years and turned into one of the best pound for pound rebounders in the country. Henry averaged 19 points and nine rebounds a contest for Vegas Elite this summer, shooting almost 60% from 2-point range. Henry as a younger prospect was known as a shooter and if he can bump up his 3-point percentage into the high 30's or low 40's range, he projects as one of the most productive freshman at the college level.

A prospect I'm a bit higher on than the rest of the industry, Bowman Jr is ranked between 11th and 17th on 247, Rivals and ESPN. This isn't a significant difference from where I have him at number eight but enough to mention that I have Bowman Jr stock long term. At Peach Jam, Bowman Jr was one of the most electrifying players to watch as he carried Team Why Not in some high profile contests thanks to his ability to take over the game. Bowman Jr has a tremendous frame, physical tools for a point guard and has continued to improve his perimeter shooting and scoring ability. All signs are pointing upwards for the Southern California based guard and Bowman Jr is the second prospect in this article who comes from a NFL family with his dad being a four time first team all-pro with the San Francisco 49ers.

The PRO16 circuit has had some top talent over the last few years with Texas based guard Kingston Flemings as one of the biggest stars from the circuit. Alston plays the same position as Flemings and comes from the same state and will look to wind up in the green room for the 2028 NBA draft after his freshman year of college like Flemings did. Alston has a fascinating recruitment as he just posted his final seven schools of Houston, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Tennessee, Wichita State and Vanderbilt. Many of those coaches have a rich history of developing top point guard talent. It will be fascinating to see where Alston winds up as he helped draw high major head coaches to the Pro16 circuit during live period weekends to see who is prioritizing him the most in his recruitment.

Diggs was one of the first high profile 2028 prospects to reclass into the class of 2027 to hit college a year earlier and potentially the NBA draft a year earlier. Diggs is a veteran level scorer off the catch with elite footwork, pace and perimeter shot-making ability. Diggs and [player_tooltip player_id='2140875' first='Demarcus' last='Henry'] were the only pair of top 10 ranked prospects to play together on any grassroots circuit from our rankings, and the duo was must watch TV. Diggs has posted 28 offers with both sides of the Tobacco Road rivalry being heavily involved as Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, Kentucky and home-state powerhouse Arizona being the most linked programs to Diggs recruitment.
