Transfer Portal Heat's Up: Who's on the Move?

Griffin is the biggest name so far to be on the move as he announced a few days ago he will be headed to St. Benedicts in New Jersey for his final high school season. He leaves Molloy as one of the top scorers in the CHSAA and will look to instantly make an impact with the Graybees. His role should take off once he feels comfortable and he should get plenty of shots as well as minutes. Expect a big year.     Lopez is another big name to leave the CHSAA. He was terrific during his two seasons at Mount and seemed poised to be one of the faces of the league. His new home is Eagle Academy Bronx who will now have one of the best back courts in the state. This addition gives Eagles another playmaker, ball handler, scoring option and more depth.     Hickman was a rising star at Uniondale this past season, he continued that momentum into a great spring and just captured Smart Ball MVP for his new team Thomas Jefferson. He will now compete in the PSAL and joins one of the most competitive back courts in NYC. His skillset fits Jeff perfectly, he can create for others, handle the scoring or space the floor. When his the Jefferson coaches get him up to their defensive standards the league is going to be in trouble.     Augustine had a very strong season for Stony Brook and recently announced he will be doing a post grad at the Bright School. He will look to keep developing, get stronger, add more muscle and round out his overall game. This prospect has Division 1 athleticism, he blocks shots, plays well above the rim and has really gotten good at catching alley oops.     The Lincoln standout capped off a great career in the PSAL this past season. Parris was connected to a few potential landing spots but will instead make the move to Mount Zion. His stock is definitely on the rise, he's had a strong offseason as well plus this extra year could be all he needed to maximize his potential.     The former Mount rim protector announced on his social media that he will be headed to Eagle Bronx to join the PSAL champs. He instantly makes an impact on their front court and should compete for minutes right away. His skillset is a bit unique from the rest of the roster and this coaching staff will really benefit from it. George adds size, a shot blocker, a tremendous rebounder and versatile big. Love the move.     Jacksons a tough guard who likes to get down hill and attack the basket. He can make threes, create in the mid range, get by defenders and find open teammates. His decision to move to St John Prep could be a big one especially with them losing a few key members of the back court from last year's team. This addition seems like a perfect fit and if Jackson can continue to score while lifting up others watch out for SJP.     The CHSAA got more sad news when DKA announced he will be leaving to attend Springfield Commonwealth Academy. He's an athletic developing wing who's 6'8, he can guard multiple positions, he's got a serious motor and is just scratching the surface of his potential. This 2028 prospect already holds a few Division 1 offers and expect even more to get involved throughout the winter and spring.     While his brother is headed to St. John's Prep Nick will be playing for Achievement First next season. He's an aggressive guard that always applies pressure to the defense and attacks the basket. His ability to draw fouls, make free throws, create contact and finish over taller players impressive. AF fans will definitely love what Jackson brings to the table and this fit seems perfect.     Eagle Academy got even more positive news when they found out that Kone will be joining their already elite back court. While Kone has spent time running the show at Hayes we expect Eagle to use him all over the floor offensively. They can use his athleticism defensively to guard 1-4 in the PSAL, he can play the one to get their shooters involved or be used as a slasher to add more movement to the offense. So many possibilities.
