Top new Wings from 2028 Rankings Update Part 2

Our 2028 rankings update saw almost 30 prospects make their debut in our rankings and in this article we'll take a look at five wings who are included in that list.    Meigs were one of the top teams in southeast Ohio last season and the addition of Beucler helped the Marauders stay atop the TVC-Ohio. Beucler is a high motor wing guard who competes on both ends of the court. A player who will defend the opposing teams top scorer as well as play within an offense, Beucler is a nice complimentary piece at the grassroots level while being a leading scoring option at the high school level. Beucler was named to the OHSAA Division VI all-state team after his freshman year at Oak Hill and will be a contender to make that list the next two seasons in Division IV.     [program_tooltip program_id='2075761' first='Ohio' last='Buckets'] Black 16 U were one of my favorite teams to watch this summer and it was not surprising to see them have so much success at the 17 U level in the GBL. Gericke is a multi-sport athlete for Archbold, a program that's had a winning tradition on both the gridiron and hardwood. Finishing first team all-conference and all-district as a sophomore and continued to improve this summer with the [program_tooltip program_id='2075761' first='Ohio' last='Buckets']. Gericke earned his first offer from Adrian this summer and projects as a priority recruit at the small college level on the hardwood. I was impressed with Gericke's blend of positional size and strength, perimeter shooting and finishing with either hand at the rim when I saw him.     Northmont has a young and improving team who should expect to contend for the GWOC title this season with a 2028 class filled with talent. Hoard was a productive starter for Northmont last season and finished third on the team in scoring and rebounding while leading the team in assists and assist to turnover ratio. Hoard has a unique blend of being a power player on the wing who wants to win with physicality while also showing the ability to make decisions to set the table for others. Look for Hoard and Micah Jacobs to be key secondary options next to star [player_tooltip player_id='2898275' first='Kaleb' last='Kelly'] this winter for Northmont.     Steubenville made a run all the way to the state title game last season with a senior laden core surrounding star [player_tooltip player_id='2379747' first='Santino' last='Haney'] that now opens the door for Bowers to become the secondary scoring option for the Big Red this coming season. Bowers has been a primary scorer at the grassroots level and as a freshman for Steubenville's JV sqaud, so he should be prepared for a bigger vsrsity role. Able to make shots off the catch and play off two feet at the rim, Bowers will be a name to watch in the east district this season. A four sport athlete for the Big Red, Bowers plays basketball, football, soccer and runs track for Steubenville, showing his diverse athletic skillset.     One of the top shooters in central Ohio, Kloock has solid positional size on the wing and a quick trigger that allows him to knock down shots from behind the college line when given space. A transfer from Olentangy to Dublin Jerome, Kloock could be a primary scorer immediately for the Celtics. Kloock was named second team all-OCC as a sophomore and should have plenty of opportunity to produce at a higher level this winter as a junior.
