Who are some players that I think would be excellent at the D3 level and I believe D3 schools might be able to get? Here are those names!

[player_tooltip player_id='2140712' first='Willie' last='Roelofs'] had a fantastic junior season at Mahtomedi. His team was 25-4 and he was the leading scorer (22ppg) and rebounder (7-8 boards per game) for his team. Willie was third team all state Class AAA last year and third team junior all state last season. He is second team preseason Class AAA all state entering his senior year. He didn't play much 17u choosing to play golf I believe over a lot of the AAU travel, but make no mistake this is a very skilled and productive player that would make for a top D3 recruit in the MIAC.

Sells is the type of player that could play early and play well at a D3 we believe.

He had an offer from St. Cloud State at one point, maybe he still does although many of those NSIC offers have been taken, and the growth he's had in one year has been outstanding. A very agile and active player in the paint that gets his teams (Apollo and Minnesota Gold) consistent results. I think he would be great at a D3 over a long period of time.

Another player that I think is in that local D2-D3 area of "he could go either way" is [player_tooltip player_id='2140675' first='Owen' last='Brezinski']. His toughness and versatility are big reasons I would love to see him go to a MIAC and play early. We've seen Owen bring the ball up the floor, score as a wing, and even do things in the paint. We have also seen Owen defend everything on the court as he had the agility and footwork to defend guards but the toughness to defend size. Led North in scoring last year and a big senior year is coming.

I could see a number of different things happen for AJ. He is such a versatile player with some size that there should eventually be a lot of different things for him to look at. Remember, Taban played a lot of point guard for Elevate Skills but he was also a player with size for the state champion Eagles. You could see AJ get an NAIA or junior college full college opportunity, you could see him get a partial D2 somewhere looked to use his versatility, or there is the D3 option where AJ would likely be very good early

Colton was scoring 24.6 points per game with 6.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists a game for a team that was top ten most of the year until Colton got hurt in the playoffs. That injury took Colton away from his 17u season which is when most D2 offers are given and taken which is super unfortunate. We can't pretend to know how quickly Colton will fully recover but we have heard he should be able to play a full basketball season. If Colton is close to what he was as a junior I think Colton would be a great player for MIAC programs to track and then pursue.

There is so much about Peyton that I think would work in the MIAC early in his career. We've seen Peyton play really well both on and off the ball, we've seen him in the main scoring role in high school and then in a supporting role for Hoop Habits finding ways to consistently contribute.

Gholson is a mature guard that has a good game IQ and we think he would be an early playing MIAC talent when he hits college hoops.
