Every season, there are players who quietly put in the work and are ready to take the next step forward. Whether it's added strength, a more polished skill set, or simply more confidence on the floor, these are the guys primed for a breakout year in North Dakota basketball.

In this article, we're highlighting 10 players poised to make some noise this season, with representation from Class AA, Class A, and Class B. Some have already shown flashes of what's to come, while others are quietly working their way into the conversation. Either way, don't be surprised if these names are all over the headlines once the season tips off.

His length/height will no doubt change the game in Class B ball. After a spring and summer of club ball, Fuller's game has taken a step forward, most notably with improved physicality and more polished ball skills. He will give opposing teams fits on the glass and with his rim protection. When I have watched live, Fuller has looked good catch/keeping the ball high and finishing around the basket. PHD is expecting a big year from this Trooper.

He is a young gun for the Cardinals, but looks to be a promising up & comer. Peterson had a quality spring/summer with JVT and [program_tooltip program_id='2075723' first='ND' last='Attack'], his future is bright. Cale has impressive size for an incoming 9th grader, handles the ball very well, has a noteworthy shot, boards hard, and is a smart baller.

He has experience playing in the State Tournament this past season and looked good in club ball. Shiloh will be one of the top teams in Class A and Davis will be a dude. He has an all-around offensive game as a dead-eye shooter, playmaking slasher, skilled passer, and solid defender.

Guss had a very solid frosh season and put up noteworthy numbers. If I were a betting man, Dawson will have an All-Region season this coming year. I like his length for a young guard; his skills are sharp, and he hoops with a calm demeanor. He is a gifted offensive player who is no stranger to scoring in double digits and is a clever defender. [player_tooltip player_id='2347912' first='Emerson' last='Marum'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2724543' first='Dawson' last='Guss'] are going to cause all kinds of problems for opposing backcourts.

[player_tooltip player_id='2237681' first='Eli' last='Undlin'] looks primed to take over Class B and be an NDAPSSA 1st Team All-State player. Undlin has next-level athleticism, length, and the skill level to dominate in all facets of the game. MLS should be one of the better B teams in the State and Eli will fuel the fire. [player_tooltip player_id='2413969' first='Cade' last='Undlin'] is another player to watch for the Mavs, he has the potential to change the game with his perimeter shooting.

The Davies backcourt will have a bit of a new look, but they will have some nice length. Triepke (6'3"), [player_tooltip player_id='1537903' first='Brady' last='Vetter'] (6'3"), and [player_tooltip player_id='1537905' first='Tommy' last='Baumgartner'] (6'5"). Gage reminds me of a microwave scorer. The southpaw shooter has long-range shooting ability with the confidence to match. He can fill it up in a hurry. Gage can also slash and make things happen off the bounce. I saw on social media that [player_tooltip player_id='2834271' first='Treasure' last='Toja'] is moving/transferring to a Minnesota school. If this is true, Triepke will have an even more important role for the Eagles and will be needed to boost production.

*If Treasure is gone, expect speedster Jayden Samolu to be in the starting lineup for the Eagles.

The Lions appear to have one of the scariest backcourts in Class B. Bosch and Richter are the more well-known names, but Jochim has the tools and potential to do some major damage. Jayden is a smooth-shooting left-hander with a feathery touch. I like his moxie on the court; you can't tell if he has hit 5 shots in a row or missed 5. Jayden is a cash-money shooter, but also slashes, finds shooters, and hits the open man.

I am not sure how much varsity burn Rham will get early in the season, but if he does. Look out! He is a lights-out, unconscious three-point sniper. Landry proved that in club ball with many monster 3-point shooting games. Everyone needs more shooting; let's see if Rham can provide that to the Blue Jays this winter.

He was one of my favorite shooters from the summer. LaRocque is straight cash, with an easy, effortless shooting stroke. He is butter from deep and his shot looks the same no matter if he is at the arc or at NBA depths. He plays with confidence, gets rid of his shot in a hurry, but never seems to be rushing. Mikah will be a deadly 3-point weapon for the Dragons this season.

The young Hawk has a good chance at starting this season. He has the length, build, and skill to fit a talented Horace group. I have watched Nolan hoop live a handful of times and he certainly passes the eye test.

Meyer caught PHD's eye last year early in the season and I have been intrigued with him ever since. I have received multiple reports that the Bulldogs looked tough this summer and Ty was even more impressive. This young pup is talented with the rock in his hands; he is a gifted offensive baller. I am interested to hear/see if he has added any inches/weight since last spring. Either way, be aware of Mr. Meyer; he is primed for an impactful season of basketball.

Every season, there are players who quietly put in the work and are ready to take the next step forward. Whether it's added strength, a more polished skill set, or simply more confidence on the floor, these are the guys primed for a breakout year in North Dakota basketball.
