“Open gym all summer to help with playing as a team/ball movement.“

PHD: What’s one specific part of your game you focused on improving this offseason, and where do you feel like you’ve made the most progress?

“Getting a quicker release on catch and shoot and I’ve improved the most at finishing at the rim.“

“I’m playing football, so not too focused on basketball.“

“Make All-Region and make the State Tournament.“

“Coach Jangula pushes me to be better and gives me confidence when I’m down on myself.“

PHD: Who is your favorite player to watch in college or the NBA, and why?

“Steph curry I try to improve my game by watching him move off the ball to get open shots.“

PHD: Where do you feel like your game has grown the most in the past year or two?

“I am a more consistent shooter and have improved my pull-up game.“

PHD: Where is your hot spot on the floor or can you tell us about a “go-to” move you like to use?

“My hot spot is either wings or top of the key and my go-to move is a jab cross step back 3.“

Football: 4-0 and ranked No. 3 in 9-Man, Jochim and the Lions are rolling. While the games have been blowouts, Jochim continues to put up some gaudy numbers and make his presence felt every week. This past Friday, Jayden played 1.5 quarters, had over 100 yards receiving, 1 TD, and two PAT catches. In week 3, Jochim really went off. The emerging talent went for 5 catches for 302 yards, and 4 TD’s.

Basketball: Jayden is a talented lefty shooter ready to fill it up. The Lions have a loaded backcourt; they will be one of the top squads in Class B. He is a gifted shooter, but Jochim also creates and sets up others for clean looks.

The Lions appear to have one of the scariest backcourts in Class B. Bosch and Richter are the more well-known names, but Jochim has the tools and potential to do some major damage. Jayden is a smooth-shooting left-hander with a feathery touch. I like his moxie on the court; you can’t tell if he has hit 5 shots in a row or missed 5. Jayden is a cash-money shooter, but also slashes, finds shooters, and hits the open man.

-The Lions were missing guys, so Jochim stepped up as the lead guard

-Hit Schuetzle for multiple triples

-Good work driving, drawing help, and finding the open man

-Quick, smooth, changes speeds nicely, quality hesi-move & crossover

-Slash & score, got the defender on his hip and kept him there

-Banged home a 3-ball

-Weaved through traffic, got into the paint on the regular

-Handles looked good vs. pesky defenders

-Delivered impressive passes, I especially liked a beautiful high-low dime

-13 points & 4 rebounds

-Smooth & skilled southpaw

-Patient drive, weaved through the D, pretty tear-drop runner for a score

-Reach-around steal when playing post D

-2/2 FT’s in the 4th, looks to be money from the charity stripe

-Sneaky steal in the 4th, fouled going up in transition, 2/2 all net

-Another steal in 4th, scored at the cup

-Pesky thief

Smooth shooting and ballhandling lefty averaged 11 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals per contest in the regional tournament. Jayden has almost perfected the tear 💧 from the baseline and in the paint for easy scores. Don’t let Jayden’s scoring and ballhandling take away from his defense as he absolutely gets after it on that side of the ball too. Long 5’11 frame and his quick hands with deceiving toughness make life miserable for opposing guards. All District is a definite possibility for jayden next season.

The smooth shooting lefty had a real nice district tournament nocking down threes, attacking the basket and scoring im transition. Jochim is one the of quickest guards with the ball in his hands has excellent change of pace and direction. Has a great lefty floater that rarely misses. Jayden not only scored well 20-13-11 in the tournament but its the pressure he puts on the defense and his ability to beat his defender and then find open teammates.

-2 steals, many more deflections several of them to to points for his team

-One of the quickest and most shifty guards you will see/ the lefty as a redikulous left to right crossover that will shake even the best defenders

-Quick defensively/has improved alot in this area over last year and he was solid them also

-High IQ player recognizes when he has a mismatch and usually takes advantage of it

The southpaw scored 10 points tonight but it was his ball handling/court vision and defensive pressure that was impressive. He’s been asked to do alot more of the ball handling this season and jayden has answered the bell big time. Very shifty and with his deadly cross over hes able to get to the basket or create for others and once again both of those were on full display.

-By far the best I have seen him play, GREAT showing

-Looked good hitting an elbow J vs. the zone D

-Changed the game with his 3-shooting

-Fluid in the catch-n-shoot game

-Went coast-to-coast for a score after grabbing a long O-board

-Plays calm, cool, and collected

-Poised & confident sniper

-VERY efficient today, could have shot more

-Silky smooth southpaw shooter, sweet release, nice back-spin, looks good coming out of his hand
