PHD: Walk me through your off-season. What did you do to improve your basketball game?

“My offseason was heavily surrounded in the weight room. I did some team summer scrimmages/camps, plus skill work. Summer was also busy because I play baseball.“

PHD: What’s one specific part of your game you focused on improving this offseason, and where do you feel like you’ve made the most progress?

“I am currently focusing on improving my finishing, defense, and 3-point shot. I feel I have made the most progress in finishing.“

PHD: What does your fall look like right now? Are you playing another sport, or is it all basketball focused?

“Right now, my fall is pretty much all football, with weights 3-4 times a week.“

PHD: What are your goals for the coming season, both individually and for your team?

“My goals for the basketball season are to obviously win a State Championship, have 45% or better 3-point percentage, and score 16+ ppg.“

PHD: Can you give some insight on an influential coach you have had? What made them memorable?

“One influential coach I’ve had is Alex Jangula. He is my high school coach, and he pushes me to be the best version of myself.“

PHD: Who is your favorite player to watch in college or the NBA, and why?

“My favorite player to watch is Steph Curry, because of his play style.“

PHD: Where do you feel like your game has grown the most in the past year or two?

“I feel my game has improved in my 3-point shot the past years.“

PHD: Who pushes you the hardest, whether that’s a teammate, a coach, or someone you train with?

“My coaches and starting teammates push me the hardest.“

PHD: Where is your hot spot on the floor or can you tell us about a “go-to” move you like to use?

“I feel my hot spot on the floor is at the top of the key. My go-to move is probably a hesi-pull 3, or get downhill quickly and finish.“

One of my favorite players for how he goes about his business on the court. Super quick guard who often puts defenders into a blender with his crossover and change of pace. Justin averaged 11 points, 4.5 assists and 3.3 rebounds per game in the tournament. As good of an on ball defender as you will find in the region and one of the best in the state, he dictates to the offensive player what he can and can’t do more times then not. Big shot Bosch always does just that for his team and at the right time. Hes an excellent distributor of the basketball and is always looking to get eveyone involved as Linton does have a plethora of scoring options. Voted to All Region Team

Justin didn’t have the biggest impact scoring in this tournament but anyone who watched the games understands his impact was felt defensively and creating for others this weekend. Making some big baskets in key situations when the team needed them in certain games is just part of what justin does game in and game out. His on ball defense and effort are next level and causes opposing guards fits all game long. Beating his man off the dribble and creating for teammates is routine for Justin and too easy at times, he was ultra unselfish and it was clear he wanted to get others involved early and often. Justin was also named to the all district team.

-One of the best on ball defenders I’ve watched/his feet are super quick and his anticipation is incredible

-Hands are always very active also on defense/ had couple steals amd several more deflections

-Smart player knows when to drive to score or drive and kick

-Great handles, has great change of pace with the ball

-Nice left hand finish on reverse layup

Justin scored 19 points tonight hitting 3 three pointers. With his quick first step Justin was also able to get the rim for some easy baskets in the half court and in transition offense tonight. As the team’s primary ball handler Justin not only scored but also created for others by penetrating and kicking to open shooters in rhythm.

-Drive & dish, smooth, good eyes

-Baseline drive, dish the assist, good find

-Has his eyes up when slashing & finds the open man

-Impressive catch & score at the hoop in the 4th

-Great cutter for a PG
