Players On The Up In Upcoming 2029 Rankings Release

Our latest ranking update brings several players into focus after strong performances at the showcase. This group made a compelling case for movement, whether through dominant frontcourt play, steady point guard leadership, offensive versatility or defensive intensity. Some have been on our radar for a while, while others made their first real push into the conversation. With the season approaching, these performances gave us plenty to consider as we evaluate where each prospect belongs and which players could continue climbing in the rankings.    Diepersloot really impressed with our watch back of the showcase and only strengthened our belief that he belongs higher in the rankings. He was arguably the best big in the gym, dominating on both ends with a combination of power, skill and physicality that was impossible to ignore. He controlled the glass, scored consistently and showed excellent footwork and positioning around the basket. More than anything his force and presence changed the game every time he was involved. This was a statement performance from a player trending firmly upward. We are excited to see how that momentum carries into his season and just how much higher his stock can climb     Jackson may have put together the best overall performance at the showcase, consistently jumping off the page every time he stepped on the court and whenever the ball found his hands. He was a tremendous force around the basket, showing the physicality and aggressiveness to make an impact down low while also displaying an excellent mid range game. His stout defense added another layer to an already impressive performance. Expectations are high for him heading into the season after losing one of the top players in the state and rightfully so. If Jackson continues to play with the same confidence, energy and assertiveness we saw at the showcase, he has a chance to make a major statement this season and continue to rise     Leasure is a player we have seen a lot of since last year, and after getting plenty of looks at him again throughout the summer and at the showcase our excitement continues to grow. He is the type of player every team wants on the floor because of his unselfish approach and ability to make winning plays. Leasure can run the point, create offense for himself and others while showing he can consistently make smart decisions with the ball. His feel for the game and team first mentality stand out, and with another season ahead, we are eager to see his continued development and impact     Marquez hasn't been on our radar as frequently since last year, but his performance left a lasting impression and made it clear he belongs in the conversation as a rising prospect. He showed the qualities you want from a point guard, pushing the pace, seeing the floor and consistently finding teammates for quality looks. He also proved capable of creating offense and scoring when opportunities presented themselves. More importantly Marquez played with a team first approach and consistently made those around him better. We're excited to see where his game goes next and how much he can continue to grow     Maes made a strong impression at the showcase and quickly put himself on our radar as a player to watch. Defensively he was one of the better performers in the gym, playing with an edge and constantly creating havoc for opposing offenses. He forced turnovers, generated steals and brought a level of intensity that stood out. Offensively Maes showed a promising mid range game and flashed the potential to become an even bigger threat with continued development. There is plenty to like about his upside, and if he continues building on this performance, we expect his stock to keep climbing
