As we continue our updated rankings coverage for the Class of 2029, we want to take a look at some of the notable newcomers.

In all, 37 prospects are making their first appearance in the rankings, including our top ranked newcomer, [player_tooltip player_id='2571883' first='Oli' last='Higgins'] out of the Newman School, who checks in at #2 overall. Higgins make his debut in the 2029 rankings after transfering to Newman and reclassifying from 2028 into 2029.

Below are five more notable newcomers to the rankings for the Class of 2029:

Clarke, a wing out of the New Hampton School in New Hampshire, makes his first appearance in the 2029 rankings at #14 and comes in as the #2 ranked small forward. A 6'7" wing from Canada, Clarke impressed in his first showing with New Hampton at the NEPSAC Showcases this summer. He has a physically advanced frame, can play on the perimeter or in the paint offensively, and is comfortable creating with the ball in his hands. He's a tough finisher off the bounce and can create his own shot in the mid-range and from behind the arc. He should have a lot of defensive versatility too and profiles as a high level rebounder from the wing spot.

O'Connell, a guard out of the New Hampton School in New Hampshire, makes his first appearance in the 2029 rankings at #15 and comes in as the #4 ranked combo guard. The 6'5" lefty is in the early mix as one of the top perimeter shooters in this class and should thrive playing off of New Hampton's elite lead guards this winter. He's got a quick, high release on his jumper and while his shooting pops, he's also a plus athlete that can make plays above the rim as a slasher. He uses his length to his advantage defensively, knows how to play angles in passing lanes, and should contribute on the glass as he adds strength.

Jones, a guard out of the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut, makes his first appearance in the 2029 rankings at #20 and comes in as the #3 ranked shooting guard. The 6'2" guard spent the summer proving to be a high level shooter from behind the arc. He does his work early to be shot ready on the catch and knows how to use screens to get open off the ball. He's got a good frame, should be able to continue adding strength, and has potential to expand his offensive game off the bounce. On the other end of the floor, he has the ability to guard all three perimeter spots and plays with a nice combination of instincts, mobility, and toughness.

Goodman, a guard out of Phillips Exeter Academy in New Hampshire, makes his first appearance in the 2029 rankings at #29 and comes in as the #7 ranked combo guard. A wiry and athletic, 6'4" lefty guard, Goodman has the ability to be a lockdown defender on the perimeter. He does a nice job of sitting in a stance and moving his feet to stay in front of opposing guards, makes plays in passing lanes off the ball, and mixes it up in the paint on the glass. Offensively, he has some breakdown potential in isolations and does a nice job of finishing with length around the rim, particularly off of euro-steps. Beyond that, he showed some impressive vision this summer and the ability to deliver high level passes on the move.

Scorza, a forward out of Proctor Academy in New Hampshire, makes his first appearance in the 2029 rankings at #35 and comes in as the #6 ranked power forward. The 6'8" hybrid forward was a key role player last winter for Proctor and has the chance to be one of this season's breakout performers. He's got two-way versatility, the ability to make shots in bunches from behind the arc, and more off the bounce game than he gets credit for. He's a fluid mover, plus athlete, and shows signs of playing through contact more and more often lately. Defensively, he can guard on the perimeter or in the paint and uses his length to create deflections at a high rate.

Later this week, we'll take a position-by-position look at the Class of 2029.

As we continue our updated rankings coverage for the Class of 2029, we want to take a look at some of the notable newcomers.
