Returning for another summer, New Jersey Legacy Basketball once again brought together a collection of North Jersey prospects for its annual team camp, giving programs several days of competition while providing prospects with an opportunity to showcase their skills. Hosted at Weequahic High School in Newark, NJ, this year's New Jersey Legacy Team Camp offered an early look at players stepping into new programs following offseason transfers, as well as those preparing to take on expanded roles this winter, providing a valuable glimpse at several prospects who could be positioned to make an impact during the upcoming season. With that in mind, here's another look at some players who stood out during the second session of New Jersey Legacy's Team Camp late last week.

A tremendously valuable and extremely impactful guard, particularly with the unique dynamic he offers in the backcourt despite being undersized, [player_tooltip player_id='2884521' first='Bryce' last='McCray'] displayed a lot of the intangibles that smaller guards tend to exemplify to combat being at a disadvantage physically— being pesky and disruptive defensively, pressuring the ball the length of the court and playing with active hands and nice anticipation, playing fast and pushing the tempo in transition initiating the break, keeping the ball on a string in tight spaces when penetrating the lane, and shooting the three ball with efficiency. While even finishing in traffic against bigger and lengthier defenders when he got all the way to the basket off the bounce. Part of a deep collection of productive guards, McCray's impact should continue to be felt no matter the flow of the game due in large part to the plenty of things he's able to do on the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='2858267' first='Oscar' last='Martinez'] possesses the ideal combination of positional size, perimeter shot making, and defensive toughness and versatility for a prototypical two way impact wing— spacing the floor with high percentage perimeter shooting, punishing closeouts off the bounce and finishing at the rim offensively, while bringing physicality and defensive versatility that allow him to guard across multiple positions. As Martinez prepares to take on a greater offensive responsibility this winter due to changes in this year's roster construction, he offered plenty of encouraging signs of what's to come later this winter— much of that same strong connective value that highlights the skill set and intangibles that make him a valuable plug and play option at the next level.

A forward who consistently makes his presence felt in the paint through his continuous activity, [player_tooltip player_id='3544161' first='Mateo' last='Bensimon'] continued to establish himself as a dependable frontcourt presence. Rebounding is where Bensimon hangs his hat where he is a terrific area rebounder and consistently pursues the ball while also using a solid second jump to secure rebounds and create additional second chance opportunities for his team. Making the most of his opportunities around the basket, Bensimon was also equally as impactful as a finisher, capitalizing on dump offs from the dunker spot, running the rim line in transition, and even with a mixture of tip ins and putbacks on the offensive glass.

Although still plenty of growth ahead in his overall on court development, [player_tooltip player_id='2970382' first='Desmond' last='Rudanovic'] still provides plenty of value, particularly being most impactful as an interior paint presence. New to this Seton Hall Prep group , Rudanovic offered a plethora of promising flashes acclimating to his new teammates as well as a new system— particularly with his ability to leverage his physical tools in the paint, winning battles on the boards with sheer size while also finishing around the basket with power and touch in multiple different designed actions.

An instant impact transfer for this Hudson Catholic group, [player_tooltip player_id='3717525' first='Mohammed' last='Salim'] immediately stood out with the motor in which made plays with, especially finishing with explosiveness above the rim as a rim runner in transition and in the dunker spot catching dump offs from penetrating guards. While also offering equally as impactful flashes on the defensive end of the floor, leveraging his athleticism and length paired with his effort and energy to make his presence felt on that end of the floor as well.
