Rankings are never meant to stand still, especially with a class this young. The high school season followed by a full spring and summer gave us several opportunities to see which prospects were adding to their games, producing against quality competition and making noticeable strides. A number of 2029s took advantage and strengthened their stock along the way. Here are some of the prospects whose stock is trending upward in our latest rankings update.

Lobato is an active big man with size who stood out at moments throughout the summer. We got to see him both in-state and out of state and what stood out was his mobility and work on the boards. Lobato played extremely well at our Sophomore showcase and he's a player who is much bigger than we perceived. He uses that size to battle for boards, moves well and is constantly moving and is an escape for guards and makes his moves. He should be a player who really stands out this year for Roosevelt and be very aggressive as he'll have physical advantages most nights. He should consistently be showing that he's one of the top players it he class as I believe he's a nightmare matchup for teams. He jumps 25+ spots in this rankings update with the idea that he shows what we saw to finish off the Summer.

Brady's rise in the rankings are due to what we saw from him all Summer long as he participated in multiple events with us and lit it up each time we got eyes on him. Brady showed himself as a score-first guard who can shoot it from deep, who consistently attacks off the PnR and also gets out in transition and puts pressure on the rim. He also rebounds extremely well for his size and Arapahoe will have a solid group of guards who he fits alongside. This is a big year for him to prove himself and get on more radars and I think he will turn plenty of heads.

Fossil Ridge will be a team with size again as they have very solid pieces around one of the best front court duos in the state. They have depth, they're in a good system and all that they're missing is reliable guard play. Well, they have a few players that I feel steps up for them this year and Marquez is one of them. He's quick, shifty and a pass first guard who teammates run faster for as they know they'll be rewarded. This summer he showed that you can surround him with good players and he'll make them better. He's a solid entry passer, he blows by defenders for layups and competes on both ends. I expect him to get varsity minutes and prove to be one of the top guards in the class. He's a riser.

Fulcher was one of the prospects who earned my attention at our latest showcase and I feel a ton of his game translates to what his high school team will need. As a scoring guard, Fulcher has several ways to make an impact for Fountain-Fort Carson. He played with confidence against pressure, used his body to get to where he wants, counters what defenses are giving him and has a good bounce to his game. Defenses have a difficult time slowing him down and if he plays with that same assertiveness he can be one of the surprise players in the conference. He makes a rise in the rankings as we took a leap of faith here.

Weeks has steadily given us reasons to believe he can find his way into Grandview's varsity picture. We watched him throughout the summer, and the Sophomore Showcase reinforced many of the same things that stood out during that stretch. He's a versatile combo guard who can score, defend and impact plays without needing the basketball constantly in his hands. On what should be a balanced Grandview roster, that type of adaptability could become especially valuable. What I like about Weeks is the number of ways he can fit into a lineup. He has the guard skills to contribute offensively, but his feel allows him to recognize when the game calls for something other than his own shot. That high-IQ approach should help him alongside other talented pieces because he doesn't have to dominate touches to be effective. After the summer he put together, Weeks has given himself a legitimate opportunity to make his mark at the varsity level very soon.

Kinsella isn't a new player for us but is one we've saw play well in multiple games. We saw him earlier in the spring and again at Colorado Live, and he continued to show encouraging pieces of his game each time out. There are stretches where Kinsella looks completely comfortable taking control as the lead guard. He's confident handling the ball, plays with good feel and has shown the ability to control pace. Miles' mid range game stood out, he gets to shots that he likes and he can initiate the offense. Playing for the defending state champions will bring expectations and seeing opposing teams best every night and he'll have an opportunity to improve even more. He's a riser we feel good about.
