Louisiana Freshman Showcase: Fab 5

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Louisiana Freshmen Showcase featured the first group of prospects to take the floor in the showcase series, and they set the tone in a MAJOR way! These young showstoppers separated themselves through their skill, confidence, athleticism, energy and ability to impact winning on both ends of the floor. The future of Louisiana basketball looks bright, and I look forward to watching their development over the next four years. Hopefully, we'll see many of them return next summer ready to show how much their games have grown. Smooth and positionally elite, Kadyn has all the tools needed to be a top player throughout his high school career and beyond. The game comes easy and naturally to him as he already has the mentality to assert himself when he needs to take over and also create for teammates when playmaking opportunities open up for him. He is tough and fierce in his approach and made opponents suffer with his ball pressure and tenacity. Offensively he understands the game and makes the right plays to create offense for himself and for teammates. Isaiah is truly a dude you want on your team and definitely not someone you want to have to match up against. Long, and athletic, Mitchell gets the job done efficiently. He as good hands and finished over defenders using his springy take off. Jo'Koree also showed the ability to knock down three balls. His end potential is super high as he continues to grow and add on to his skill set. He jumped out early in the 3 on 3 session with his physical approach and competitive fire. He is well composed and has advanced strength and body control for his age. During the 5 on 5 session he took his game to another level. During one span he went on an 8-0 run by himself. What was really impressive was his ability to live in the paint and convert lay ins while drawing contact. That's what [player_tooltip player_id='2947525' first='Chance' last='Foster']'s game is built upon! The passion, competitiveness, and joy that he plays with is contagious. It's rewarding to watch a young prospect play with so much determination. Chance is a bouncy and athletic lefty that is a ball magnet impacting the game on both ends of the floor. A good communicator, Foster directs traffic and his high motor allows him to gather rebounds, put backs, and creative finishes around the rim.
