JR EYBL 2030 Wings Ready to Make a Freshman Impact

The jump to high school basketball is a big one, but several prospects from the 2030 class look ready to make an immediate impact. After standing out on the JR EYBL circuit this summer, these players enter their freshman seasons with an opportunity to quickly establish themselves at the high school level. Taking a closer look at some of the 2030s who could be in line for big freshman years.    Tomlinson is ready-made to make an impact at the varsity level next season as a 6-foot-5 power wing who can guard 2-4 reliably. His strength and long arms help him snatch up rebounds and he's great at carving out space and is a reliable scorer from the mid-range. His versatility helps him play a large role for a Gonzaga program that is on the younger side.     One of the better shooters over the course of the 2026 circuit cycle, Almonte is a smooth scorer who looks ready made to step into minutes with a St. Peter's team that graduates a ton of production as well as lost more to transfer. His ability to stretch a defense and get his shot off over his man will likely mean he's one of the better scorers in year one.     Kabeya will suit up with St. Benedict's this Fall, and likely will end up one of the most productive freshmen in the state. A powerful 6-foot-6 wing who has a quick first step and is able to get into the lane and finish, Kabeya is the ideal strike partner for elite 2029 guard MJ Postell.     St. Andrew's certainly won't lack for talent on the perimeter this season, but Ivey-Jones has the size and skillset to crack into the rotation. At 6-foot-4, he is capable of guarding 1-3 and uses his long arms to create chaos on the defensive side of the ball. His best basketball lies well ahead of him, but don't be surprised if he ends up surpassing some senior scholarship on the depth chart and having some real impact this season.     Harbin is a talented wing who was at his best in space where his athleticism could shine, but proved he's capable of scoring off a couple of dribbles in the mid-range. With the departure of several big pieces from last year's team, the Judges seemingly have a need for another wing type to take a step forward next to their strong group of returnees. Harbin could be the perfect fit.     Eaton will likely find his way onto the floor early and often thanks to his defensive versatility and willingness to rebound. A rangy 6-foot-6 slasher who likes to operate from the perimeter and has range out to 18 feet as a shooter, Eaton has a lot of long term tools to build on. Sewickley is an ideal place where he can both have an impact while still developing his perimeter skillset further.     Another versatile defender who will get on the floor more because of what he does besides scoring, Allman is stepping into a great situation at St. Francis Prep. Now standing at 6-foot-6, the talented wing can reliably guard 2-4 and should be one of the better rebounders on the team if given the opportunity. Offensively he operates as a wing, but is really dangerous out of the high post both as a scorer and a facilitator. The St. Francis staff has traditionally gotten the most out of players with similar skillset and potential as Allman.
