High School Spotlight: Westview Warriors

We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. He is <strong>112-44</strong> as a head coach.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>A favorite to win all of class 2A. </li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Top Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2622228' first='Austin' last='Schlabach']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Westview Warriors are poised to be right back in the Class 2A state title conversation this season, and the biggest reason why is the return of senior leader [player_tooltip player_id='2622228' first='Austin' last='Schlabach']. Coming off a junior campaign that earned him Indiana Junior All-Star honors, followed by a breakout summer on the AAU circuit, Schlabach is back to lead the Warriors once again. He is a true playmaker and one of the best guards in the 2027 class at getting downhill, creating for his teammates, and controlling the pace of the game. He enters his senior season with a legitimate opportunity to earn Indiana All-Star honors and lead Westview on a run to the Class 2A state championship.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='3684152' first='Pierce' last='Yoder']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Another year, another group of Yoders making a major impact on the Westview roster. While several could be in line for breakout seasons, the one who has caught my attention dating back to the Class 2A state championship game is senior forward [player_tooltip player_id='3684152' first='Pierce' last='Yoder']. The 6-foot-6 forward remains one of the more under-the-radar prospects in the 2027 class but has made significant strides over the past year. Yoder possesses a polished inside-out offensive game with the ability to score around the basket and step out to knock down perimeter shots with a smooth shooting stroke.
