Peeler was an early standout, drawing attention from coaches right from the start. He is an all-around talent who projects as a key piece at Thrive. He understands the game, gets to his spots, and shoots with confidence. He handles the ball, rebounds, facilitates, and keeps his head up to find open teammates. He also put in solid effort on the defensive end. Safe to say, he is an all around high upside player.

Shelvin has shown next-level potential and is an early favorite among the top players in the state. Beyond his size and athleticism, he has a strong competitive drive. His recent offer from Boston College is early proof of his trajectory. He spent the showcase proving that he is just as advertised, and pushing the competitive energy in the gym. His talents also transition to the gridiron, and he looks like the next big two sport athlete that Louisiana is well known for.

Isaiah is a poised player who used the showcase to highlight his basketball IQ. Playing on a talented team, he stood out by running the offense, scoring when needed and facilitating otherwise. He took over during the 5-on-5 sessions and used his size effectively but just making plays. He has an advanced grasp on pace and on top of all that his leadership, shot-making, and craftiness around the goal earned him Freshman MVP honors. This puts him on the radar and in the conversation as a top player in the 2030 class.

Smith already has the size for next-level play. He got to his spots and scored effectively during the 3-on-3 games. Long and athletic, he plays hard on both ends of the floor. Size, skill, energy, and confidence define his game. He shows leadership traits and a high motor, making him a candidate for early varsity minutes as an underclassman and a top player in the state.

Hill is a rugged guard with a football player's build and an aggressive mentality. He used his strength to his advantage against lighter players on several occasions. He is a true on the court bully. He has a strong foundation for varsity competition, and coaches looking for a physical, downhill guard will appreciate his game.

The ceiling for this group is high. Our MVP is already a state champion with Varsity experience and whether it's Shelvin's early recruitment or Peeler's all-around play, these freshmen are playing a mature brand of basketball. The physical tools are clear, but their competitive drive is what will help them as they begin their high school seasons. Louisiana is known for their hyper aggressive players, and this group will easily carry on that tradition.
