2027 Prospect Rankings Update: Summer Stock Risers

We talked about some of the higher level stock risers but there are more to go through in Minnesota. Here is another group of names that has had a great summer getting a rankings boost.    When you watched Alex played basketball scoring on like 60 percent of his shots for the Heat, it was hard not to think about Mike Alstott playing hoops. Stueven had a great year for the Heat and this was after a 22.6 point per game season for HLWW in the winter. He can bring up the ball, fight with posts with his strength, and go by players with his aggressive attack. Also a good two way football player for the Lakers.     Earlier this week Owen committed to Dakota State following a great summer with the [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat']. The 6'9, 220 pound center made great strides going from an injury last winter to scoring nine a game in his return, and then growing into a really good post defender this summer and a high percentage finisher.     We've spoken a lot about Dalton this weekend telling you about how he should play a big role for a deeper Rebels team, how he has a handful of D3 teams after him, and that he is a 6'7 and near 200 pound frontcourt player. With that we need to point out that he has also risen in the prospect rankings in the next update.     If you haven't heard the name [player_tooltip player_id='2985466' first='Gavin' last='Willeck'], take a search. He is a very good baseball prospect from Northern Minnesota that is named MVP of a number of baseball events. He's also an agile 6'6 frontcourt basketball player that finishes above the rim and moves really well. Likely a top 100 baseball and basketball prospect in his class.     You will notice a lot of trends as we talk [player_tooltip player_id='2140604' first='Eddie' last='Walker'] in relation to the others on this list:   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Walker is another player that really improved playing for the [program_tooltip program_id='2075674' first='Minnesota' last='Heat']</li>   <li>He's another player on this list that is either big, strong, or BOTH!</li>   <li>Like others, Walker is a multi-sport athlete as he is a 6'5/225 pound tight end that is talented. </li> </ul>   Walker is going to be a good pick and pop four man for the Royals with his smart screening, his movement off the ball, and improved shooting stroke.     I imagine coaching Rock is kind of like...... "Rock we need you to defend this guard" and he says... "done". And later... "Rock we need you to battle this post" and he says..."done". Then you talk offense and you look at your giant Pequot Lakes team and think.... "Rock....might need you to play some three" so he hits 35 percent of those like he did with the Comets this 17u season or you are the Comets coach and you think "Rock, I need you to get things done in the paint with this small line-up" and he averages ten points and five boards like he did with the Comets.
