2026 UA City Classic Preview

This Saturday at St. France the UA City Classic will take place featuring two games (boys & girls). The girls' game tips at 12PM and the boys will get start at 2PM in what should be an great showcase of some of the top talent from the UA Circuit and a few names who play for UA sponsored high school teams.   For this preview, we'll run down the boys rosters. The black team will be coached by current San Antonio Spurs guard DeAaron Fox and the white team will be coached by current New Orleans Pelicans forward Derik Queen.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Team Fox</h2>   Kaleb Allen | 6-6 | Christ Church Episcopal '28   Allen ranks as the No. 2 overall prospect in South Carolina and is coming off a standout performance at the Crossroads Elite Invitational where his explosive athleticism, defensive versatility and competitive edge all shined as it should in this weekend's setting as well.   Chase Branham | 6-4 | La Lumiere '27 (Indiana commit)   Branham enters the event as a top-40 prospect in our national rankings and poses as one of the top shooters in the country. Headed to Bloomington next fall to play for the Hoosiers, Branham looks to round out his summer with a big performance before heading to La Lumiere for his senior season.   [player_tooltip player_id='2767938' first='Jordan' last='Costley'] | 6-4 | Springdale Prep '29   Costley is one of the youngest prospects to be chosen for the event and he's coming off an outstanding summer proving himself against elite level competition in various live events or showcases. This will be another opportunity for him to prove himself as a top-10 prospect in the 2029 national class and he gets to do it in his backyard.   Korey Francis | 6-4 | Monsignor Bonner '27   The No. 5 overall prospect in PA and the top-ranked combo guard is one of the two athletes who are participating due to their high school team's UA affiliation. A product of Team Iverson on the MADE Circuit, Francis is coming off a productive last few months and looks to repeat as the PCL's most valuable player this winter and avenge last year's semifinal loss to Neumann Goretti.   [player_tooltip player_id='2451130' first='Jarvis' last='Hayes Jr.'] | 6-6 | Woodward Academy '27   The top-ranked prospect in Georgia takes the floor and will look to back his top-25 national ranking after his impressive summer with [program_tooltip program_id='2076604' first='Atlanta' last='Xpress']. The son of former NBA veteran Jarvis Hayes, junior released his top four schools that he'll focus on including Florida state, Georgia, Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt.   [player_tooltip player_id='2454534' first='Terence' last='Jones III'] | 6-1 | St. Frances Academy '27   The other prospect playing thanks to the UA sponsorship with his high school program, Jones suits up and looks to put on a show in his gym on Chase Street, but will be playing against his high school coach Nick Myles. The microwave scoring combo guard, Jones is liable to put up a crooked number if he sees his first couple shots drop and it's safe to say the Baltimore faithful will be behind him in full force.   Draydne McDaniel | 6-8 | Prolific Prep '29   Regarded as a top-5 prospect in the 2029 national class, McDaniel backed his status all summer long with Pro One. His unique blend of size, skill and fluidity all should shine brightly in this type of setting. Typically the pace of these type of games are up-tempo, which will allow for plenty of above the rim finishes for the Prolific Prep product.   Quentin Mosby | 6-2 | IMG Academy '28   Another prolific long range shooter from the UAA Circuit, Mosby will look to continue to build his stock as he heads into his first season at IMG Academy. He accumulated a handful of high major offers throughout his spring/summer with Seattle Select. Similar to Jones, Mosby has the type of game and volume scoring ability to string together a big individual performance if the defensive pressure isn't intense.   Kiir Nang | 6-9 | Anthem Prep South '29   The top-ranked prospect from the Utah 2029 class will be in attendance and bring his intriguing combination of size, ability and athletic finishes. Standing 6'8"-6'9" with plus length, Nang caught eyes this summer with Mountain Stars. Not only can he score it from 17 feet and in consistently, but he's proven to be a playmaker for others as the defense adjusts to his gravity as a bucket-getter inside.   LJ Williams | 6-8 | Saraland '28   Williams was a massive stock-riser this spring/summer in the 2028 national class and seems to have a tight grasp on the top spot in the 2028 Alabama rankings. He's a physical finisher at the rim and has the ability to score it inside 15 feet in a variety of ways. His motor runs high, he's a instinctual cutter and a guy who's more than willing to make multiple efforts that should contribute to a heavy stat line in this one.   Xavier Young | 6-10 | Faith Family Academy '28   At top-15 prospect nationally, it won't be difficult to notice Young with his combination of size, power and command around the cup at both ends. He looks to abuse the rim whenever he's in the vicinity and is no stranger to swatting away shots on the defensive end similar to a spike in volleyball. Although these showcase games are typically more geared toward scoring guards, Young's ability to dominate the paint should guarantee to leave his imprint all over this one.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Team Queen</h2>   Darrell Davis | 6-1 | Spire Academy '27   Davis is another Baltimore native in this contest and will bring his usual sense of urgency with relentless competitiveness as he usually does in any game/event he's featured in. The No. 1 ranked point guard in the state of Ohio and top-40 prospect nationally, Davis will not only look to leave town with a win, but also any other hardware that's available with the way that he's wired.   Bronx Ganaway | 6-8 | Father Tolton '29   The 2029 class in this game has its share of elite talent and Ganaway is attributes to that sentiment. The 6'8" rising sophomore ranks as the No. 1 overall prospect in the state of Missouri and brings the similar size, length and fluid mobility as a hybrid forward with a very intriguing ceiling.   Delcan Griffiths | 6-7 | St. Thomas More '27   Another premier shooter featured in this game is Griffiths. Where he differentiates himself from the two highlighted on Team Fox is that he brings the positional size as a wing and poses as the archetype that is being prioritized at the highest of levels in college. Coming off another productive spring/summer with Middlesex Magic, Griffiths will look to put on a three-point shooting clinic in Baltimore this Saturday.   Isaiah Hamilton | 6-8 | Montverde '28   Hamilton is one of the most athletically gifted prospect in the high school landscape as a whole. There's no denying his supreme, high-flying ability and that should take over the show if it becomes a transition-heavy matchup. Headed to Montverde (FL) this season, Hamilton will look to prove his status as a top overall prospect in the 2028 national class.   [player_tooltip player_id='2528158' first='Myles' last='Hayes'] | 6-6 | Woodward Academy '28   Hayes will suit up and go against his older brother ([player_tooltip player_id='2451130' first='Jarvis' last='Hayes Jr.']), which should spark another interesting wrinkle to the contest. He's a 6'6" springy athletic wing is good for at least a few highlight plays whether he's looking to put a defender on a poster or pin an attempt against the glass with authority. Hayes is ranked as a top-15 prospect nationally and the top overall prospect in the 2028 Georgia rankings.   Payton Jones | 6-3 | Dynamic Prep '27   Jones is another intense competitor who will look to take advantage of any opportunity to showcase is offensive skillset. His ability to maneuver through traffic, get downhill and rock the rim or finish with craft. He's capable of creating space in 1-on-1 scenarios with consistency. The fluidity within his approach in breaking down his defender will be aesthetically pleasing for the crowd.   [player_tooltip player_id='2454529' first='Junior' last='Mancho'] | 6-9 | Mount Carmel '27   Mancho going up against Young will be a fun watch. Both are physically gifted bigs and while Young can tap into his vertical athleticism a bit more, he'll have his hands full with the strength and power that Mancho brings. Expect Mancho to grab rebounds in bulk, set punishing screens and finish with two above the rim.   Jace Opoku | 6-1 | Rockford '29   A name that has gained significant momentum from a national perspective, Opoku is a quick-twitch lead guard who can get buckets in bunches. He can change his pace effectively both in space or in traffic to create advantages, convert tough looks from the perimeter or around the rim and is growing as a distributor.   [player_tooltip player_id='2767775' first='Joshua' last='Sanders'] Jr. | 6-9 | Peach County '30   The lone 2030 prospect in this event on the boys' side, Sanders Jr. has an argument as having the highest ceiling in the pool of prospects. The 6'9" southpaw wing/forward has no issue pulling up over his defenders if he can't get all the way to the rim, but shows early signs of covering ground quickly and effectively before rising up and punching over defenders. It'll be a great opportunity to get another peek at who should be in the running for the top spot in the 2030 class for the state of Georgia.   Quinton Wilson | 6-4 | Wellington Sports Academy '28   A top-20 prospect in the 2028 national class, Wilson has been one of the more well-known prospects on the circuit since entering high school. When everything is clicking for Wilson, he could run away with MVP honors of this event given his dynamism, powerful athleticism around the rim and the ability to steal the show as a volume scorer.
