Mile High Madness closed the summer circuit exactly the way everyone hoped with high level competition, breakout performances and plenty of statement moments. For many players it was the final opportunity to prove themselves before attention turns to fall ball and the highly anticipated high school season. If this weekend was any indication, the months ahead are going to be must watch basketball. Lock in now!    Odie continues to be one of those players you can't help but notice every time he steps on the floor. His passion, energy and leadership were on full display this weekend as he consistently lifted up his Collective teammates and set the tone. With the ball in his hands, he was under control, made smart decisions and put together several impressive scoring bursts that changed the momentum of games. Deadly from deep, quick crossover to get past you and improved finishing packages makes him someone coaches can trust in big moments because he values every possession. Defensively Odie was relentless, getting in opponents faces, applying pressure and making life difficult from baseline to baseline     Rathbun may have been the biggest breakout performer of the tournament. Coming in as an unknown he wasted no time making a name for himself with one electrifying play after another. His length, freakish athleticism and explosive bounce were impossible to ignore, as he threw down 10 plus dunks throughout the weekend and consistently played well above the rim on both ends of the floor. Beyond the highlight plays he showed great instincts, ran the floor hard and made smart decisions with the ball. Rathbun's speed, energy and impact made him a huge difference maker for Hard2Guard all weekend long     Gurney put together one of the most impressive weekends of the tournament and continued to open our eyes with his all around play. He played with poise and confidence, consistently making smart decisions and taking quality shots within the flow of the offense. Defensively he positioned himself extremely well, anticipating plays and making life difficult for opponents. Offensively he kept the ball moving, made the extra pass and understood when to facilitate and when it was time to take over. His basketball IQ stood out every game, and his steady leadership was a major reason Morgan Dawgs found success throughout the weekend     Mai is a player we're definitely excited to watch more of now moving forward after an outstanding weekend with Collective. The offense consistently ran through him, and he embraced that responsibility with confidence and composure. He picked his spots wisely, moved exceptionally well with and without the ball and always seemed to be in the right place at the right time. When attacking he was aggressive getting downhill, putting constant pressure on the defense and finishing plays or creating opportunities for teammates. Defenders also had to respect his smooth, deadly jumper, making him a difficult matchup and one of the tournament's most dynamic offensive weapons     Russick made his impact with TA Select by doing all the little things that help teams win. Defensively he competed on every possession, hounding opposing ball handlers, rotating quickly to open shooters and boxing out to secure important rebounds. His effort and awareness stood out from start to finish. On the offensive end he showed a reliable spot up jumper, knocking down open looks with confidence while constantly moving without the ball to create opportunities. His high motor, discipline and willingness to embrace his role made him an extremely valuable two way contributor throughout the tournament
