<p>Thursday was full of action at The Champion Center as The Prep Hoops Tune Up kicked off. Here are some of the standouts that caught my eye.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Still, a 6-1 incoming junior, for Waukesha West, clearly stood out as one of the best players in the games that I watched. What immediately jumped out was Still's motor where he seemed to always be in the center of the action on both ends of the floor. Dominating on the glass, Still regularly started the fast break pushing tempo and made good decisions whether that was using his excellent court vision finding teammates for easy buckets, finishing in traffic, or pulling up from three.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">I had the chance to watch Mitchell play, in both of his games, and it really showed the diversity in his game. The first game Mitchell was unconscious, from three, making five in the first half alone without hitting rim. In the second game, he took more of a lead role getting to the basket, with ease, and finishing everything he threw up from 15 feet and in. For as lethal of an option Mitchell was, on offense, he was also solid, on defense where he used active hands and great anticipation leading to several steals and deflections.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">One of the most dynamic finishers, comfortable with either hand, Knight put on a clinic on Thursday. Sporting an explosive first step, Knight easily blew by defenders getting to the rim where he was automatic with a variety of spin moves and circus finishes. A nightmare leading the fastbreak, Knight was routinely out ahead of the pack for easy layups putting his team on his back for a close win over [program_tooltip program_id='2391400' first='Team' last='Herro'] National.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Walker, a 6-2 junior<ins>,</ins> out of La Crosse Central<ins>,</ins> does not jump off the page with flashy athleticism or outwardly demonstrative expressions, like most young players; but he always seemed to be around the ball, whether that was finishing off of a strong post move, putting back offensive rebounds, or using his physicality to clear space around the hoop off of the dribble. Defensively Walker showed great anticipation and surprising quickness to anticipate several passes leading to multiple steals.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Calloway, coming off of a huge junior season, where he averaged 18.8 points for the Red Raiders, looks like he took yet another jump this summer. Not needing much space, to blow by his defender, Calloway had his way on Thursday again showing that he is comfortable scoring from all three levels. While not knocking down perimeter jumpers, Calloway was keeping his defender, on skates, getting downhill finding cutting teammates when not finishing through contact.</p>
