We dive a little deeper into the state and find some wings that fans and schools should know about heading into this week's live period!

The defensive potential of [player_tooltip player_id='2395695' first='Jordan' last='Maingu'] is one that seriously wowed me. His lateral footwork and agility, Jordan's length on the ball at all times, and his effort to keep his man in front was outstanding. The potential is there for Jordan to be a defensive playmaker and lockdown guy at the next level. Pretty good in that help side shot blocking and shot contesting way as well.

Offensively I think what stood out the most to me was the Maingu patience to use his length. An active pursuit type of off ball player that uses length to extend after patiently working to space to finish. A slasher that is a baseline attacking nightmare for a rotating defense getting to that length.

In reviewing Chapman, I couldn't get to the keyboard fast enough to speak highly of his release and touch. A shooter that has to be located and you have to close quick and high because of his height. Chapman is also excellent in getting to his balance on a shot at the arc, on the attack, and on the pull-up which is a big reason he finishes in high percentages. Uses his body really well to finish when around the basket and to separate after using a dribble in getting to an attempt.

One of the better shooting prospects I've reviewed in the Midwest this 17u season.

Jackson is a 44/37/76 splits guy from the winter that scored 12.5 points a game. There is a little more playmaking juice from Bruce compared to some of the other wings. Jackson has a good handle and good first step for a wing that allows him to get to space to shoot, pass, or rotate the ball and hurt the defensive rotations.

I think the natural ability and skill is there to play a few spots at the next level, Jackson really has a knack for separation, and when those dribbles are used when the defense is scrambling and moving (as opposed to set), Jackson can be a great weapon for an offense.

The hottest shooter you will see this 17u open period season might just be [player_tooltip player_id='2828274' first='Grady' last='Ogden'].

Grady scored nearly 14 points a game this winter shooting over 45 percent from the arc and he's taken his game to an even higher level recently. Playing in the Midwest Showcase, Ogden scored 20 points a game and made a ridiculous 21 of 36 threes! Defenses would see the ball screen coming, or see the attempt coming on the wing and the closeout really didn't affect the motion at all. Grady is one of the most locked in shooters you will see at the moment as contesting hands are doing little. Making 26 of 46 shots with the defense keying on you is a high quality number.

Active and everywhere is the way that Anthony "AJ" Davis was first described to us, Davis plays for one of the better teams in the state and he brings that activity to both ends of the floor. Davis is another player on this list that uses that length and agility to keep everything in front and uncomfortable. A really good help defender with that length and Anthony is quick off his feet contest, board, and block shots. Such a key player to plug in on a good Kings team or a good Mill Valley team to use in many ways. Also shooting the ball better from the perimeter.

We dive a little deeper into the state and find some wings that fans and schools should know about heading into this week's live period!
