Between what they did at the beginning of the grassroots season and how they performed with their high school teams in June, a handful of prospects have jumped on my radar. Here are five that of the top ones:

With his filled out and developed frame, Anderson has a habit of making winning basketball plays on the basketball court. His football background is evident from the ways that he plays through contact and plucks passes and rebounds out of the air - at the highest point – like they're interceptions or touchdown catches. But Anderson can hoop too. He can get to his spots for pull-up twos and catch-and-shoot for threes.

One of the few veterans under the new regime at Hodgson, May-Goldsboro is a high-motor wing who plays bigger than his size. He gets active on rebounds and when he's covering ground for blocks and steals on defense. On offense, he's most dangerous when attacking off-the-catch or on-the-go with cuts. And when he reaches the paint, May-Goldsboro has the bounce to finish above the rim.

A full year back from injury and now with no brace, Merced is quietly turning into one of the more versatile forwards in his class. Of course, he can score with his back to the basket and clean the glass. He even does the little things like make the extra pass and give up his body on hustle plays. But Merced can also space the floor from distance, drive from different spots to the cup, and create some havoc on defense. Then, once he's in the open floor, the under-the-radar forward can get off the ground and put two hands on the rim for dunks.

After waiting his turn on varsity this past, Robinson is locked and loaded as the next bucket-getter for the Spartans. As the program is known for, he can locate open windows and spot-up three at a solid rate. But the real magic happens when he puts the ball on the deck. Starting from a triple threat position, Robinson efficiently gets to a variety of spots for pull-up jumpers. When that's not enough, he gets into the paint then plays off two feet for two points.

After a season in the PCL and a couple notable seasons at St. Mark's before that, Warner is back in the 302 and wasting no time breaking in his Ducks uniform. He's skilled as a scorer who makes a living by getting deep into the paint or hitting shots from behind the arc. His jumper demands that he gets hard closeouts that he can easily attack, while his strong torso and broad shoulders enable to absorb contact in the lane. And his touch from the free throw line is just as good as his touch from the three-point line.
