Southwest Indiana June Scholastic Period Standouts

The June Scholastic Period in the state of Indiana is a big time for student athletes to restart with their high school teams and prepare for a new season with new roles. With two NCAA Live Periods, it gave players in Southwest Indiana the chance to play in front of college coaches from all levels. Here were the Southwest Indiana Standouts from the June Scholastic Period:    A versatile 2027 Forward for Evansville Central that is putting production with the potential that we have seen for the last three years. Plays with a physicality with his game on both ends of the floor. Terrific downhill driver to his left hand. Finishes well around the rim with either hand. Exploited mismatches in the mid-post with his size and touch in his jumper. Has shown steady improvement each year with his shooting stroke with consistent range out to the three-point line. Plays really well in transition with the ball in his hands. Excellent passer and decision maker showcasing his skill at his size.     Electric 2027 Guard from Gibson Southern got going early and often on essentially every game I saw of his this June. Excellent floor game that plays the offensive end with no conscious. Big time shot maker with deep range comfortable off the catch but thrives in making shots off the dribble. Smaller guard that is sneaky athletically that can get in the lane and finish or create for others. Absolute pest on the defensive end with good ball skills playing passing lanes and active hands with the ability to turn defense into offense in a hurry. Shot diet could be better, but he's such a electric scorer that he gets a longer leash to let him cook.     Sharp shooting combo guard from Evansville Bosse had a huge June for the Bulldogs. Microwave scorer that had it going from all levels in the games I saw. Smooth shooter with deep range that does it efficiently. Showed his ability to score from all three levels. Really good off the bounce and rising up in the midrange. Underrated athlete that gets off the floor in a hurry and can finish at the basket in a variety of different ways. Has a chance to lead the Bulldogs in scoring this upcoming season.     Not sure there was a guard in the Southwest Indiana Area that had as big of a June as Princeton 2028 Guard [player_tooltip player_id='2539928' first='Quintyn' last='Voltz']. As talented a scorer as there is in the area, Voltz showed off his full offensive arsenal game in and game out the entire month. Shifty handle with a quick first step. Thrives on getting in the lane where he's a crafty finisher over length. He's a tough shot maker that can be inefficient at times, but has a short memory and is always in attack mode.     Lone returning starter for Evansville Memorial, 6'4” Wing [player_tooltip player_id='3545758' first='Dru' last='Ellis'] will take over as the leader of the program on the floor. A defensive minded wing that uses his length and athletic ability to shut down the opposing team's best offensive weapon. Will have more of an offensive load heading into his junior season, he has shown the ability to get downhill while playing on balance and off two feet. Really nice finisher around the basket while also having intriguing playmaking skills finding open teammates off the dribble.
